Camp Sgt Quintin M Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City – On June 1, 2026, the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11), through the Regional Special Operations Group 11 (RSOG 11), successfully arrested the Top 2 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level of Davao del Norte during a warrant service operation conducted on June 1, 2026, in Zone 3, Barangay Villarica, Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS), Davao del Norte.

The operation was carried out by personnel of the Regional Special Operation Group 11, in coordination with the IGACOS Police Station, DNPPO.

The arrested individual was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Maria Eloisa A. Maglana, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 4, Samal, Davao del Norte, 11th Judicial Region, dated May 29, 2026. The accused is facing Two (2) Counts of Qualified R**e by Sexual Assault, One (1) Count of Attempted Qualified R**e by Sexual Assault, and Four (4) Counts of Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code.

The court recommended bail of Php200,000.00 for each count of Qualified R**e by Sexual Assault, Php120,000.00 for Attempted Qualified R**e by Sexual Assault, and Php36,000.00 for each count of Acts of Lasciviousness.

The operation was conducted in accordance with established legal procedures and was documented using an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) pursuant to Supreme Court Resolution A.M. No. 22-06-08-SC. Upon arrest, the accused was informed of his constitutional rights in a language he understood before being turned over to the custody of the IGACOS Police Station for proper disposition.

PNP INTENSIFIES WV MANHUNT DRIVE, 3 REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSONS ARRESTED

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported the successful arrest of three Regional Most Wanted Persons in a series of separate operations conducted on June 1, 2026 in Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and Occidental Mindoro, as part of its continuing nationwide drive to locate and bring fugitives to justice.

These coordinated manhunt operations highlight the sustained efforts of police units on the ground, working closely with various support teams to ensure that individuals with standing warrants are properly accounted for under the rule of law.

In Occidental Mindoro, authorities arrested the No. 1 Regional Most Wanted Person in Barangay San Agustin, San Jose. The suspect was apprehended through the implementation of multiple arrest warrants issued by the court for serious criminal cases, including arson and violent offenses. Police ensured a peaceful arrest and immediately informed the suspect of his rights.

In Iloilo, tracker teams successfully served a warrant of arrest against a Regional Most Wanted Person ranked Top 5 in Barangay Tabuc-Suba, Barotac Nuevo. The operation was carried out by local police units with the necessary coordination, resulting in a smooth and orderly arrest.

In Negros Occidental, another Regional Most Wanted Person listed as Top 6 was arrested in Barangay Inapoy, Kabankalan City. The operation was jointly executed by operating units and supporting personnel, ensuring that the warrant of arrest was implemented without incident and in accordance with legal procedures.

All arrested individuals are now under police custody and will be turned over to the proper authorities for documentation and further legal proceedings.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., recognized the efforts of the operating units, noting that sustained field accomplishments reflect a police organization that remains steady in its duty to protect communities while respecting the rights of every individual.

FORMER INSURGENT YIELDS TO PNP; FIREARM AND EXPLOSIVE DEVICE RECOVERED

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., facilitated the surrender of a former Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) member and the turnover of a firearm and an explosive device as part of the peace and security efforts of Police Regional Office 8. The activity was conducted at the Headquarters of the 2nd Leyte Provincial Mobile Force Company in Brgy. Cristina, Calubian, Leyte, on May 28, 2026.

The surrenderer, known by the alias β€œErik,” a 49-year-old Filipino male from Carigara, Leyte, was formerly affiliated with the Buhawi Platoon under the Eastern Visayas Regional Party Committee, which operated in selected areas of Leyte. His peaceful surrender was achieved through sustained intelligence monitoring and enhanced engagement efforts by personnel from the 2nd LPMFC, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Regional Intelligence Unit 8, 805th Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 8, and the Calubian Municipal Police Station.

During the turnover, he surrendered one caliber .38 revolver without serial markings, three rounds of ammunition, and one hand gr***de. He likewise expressed his withdrawal from armed participation and his intent to return to peaceful civilian life. The surrendered items and the individual are now under the custody of the 2nd LPMFC for proper documentation, safekeeping, and evaluation for possible enrollment in the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).

PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. emphasized that sustained engagement and operational initiatives remain essential in encouraging individuals involved in armed movements to abandon violence and reintegrate into society.

PNP SEIZES β‚±6.4M SMUGGLED CI******ES; WAREHOUSE OWNER ARRESTED IN ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., implemented a Search Warrant for Violation of Republic Act No. 10643 on May 28, 2026 in Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, resulting in the arrest of a warehouse owner and the seizure of large quantities of smuggled ci******es.

The operation was led by the Zamboanga Sibugay Maritime Police Station, in coordination with the Regional Maritime Unit 9 – Special Operations Response Team, Titay Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Acting on a court-issued warrant, the operating teams conducted a search at a warehouse owned by the suspect, where assorted smuggled ci******es were discovered and confiscated. The total estimated value of seized items reached β‚±6,418,224.00.

The warehouse owner was informed of his constitutional rights. He was subsequently brought to the Zamboanga Sibugay Maritime Police Station for documentation and proper disposition prior to the filing of appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act No. 10643, also known as the Anti-Illicit Trade of To***co Act.

The operation reflects the implementation of the PNP Focused Agendaβ€”a transformation-driven framework designed to enhance accountability, strengthen operational effectiveness, and improve public service delivery.

WANTED PERSON FACING QUALIFIED TRAFFICKING CHARGES ARRESTED IN BULACAN

A 76-year-old male suspect identified only by the alias β€œTony” was arrested by the Philippine National Police (PNP) during a law enforcement operation conducted in Angat, Bulacan on the evening of May 29, 2026.

The operation was carried out by the tracker team of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office Provincial Intelligence Unit, in coordination with personnel from the Bulacan 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and Angat Municipal Police Station. Authorities served a warrant of arrest for two counts of qualified trafficking under Republic Act 9208, as amended by Republic Act 10364 and Republic Act 11862.

The suspect was apprehended in Barangay Encanto, Angat, Bulacan. Police said the warrant was issued on the same day by a Regional Trial Court in Malolos City, Bulacan, with no bail recommended.

Authorities emphasized that the suspect was properly informed of his constitutional rights in a language known to him before and during the arrest. He was later brought to the appropriate police office for documentation and proper disposition.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for the orderly and lawful implementation of the operation.

β€œHindi natin palalampasin ang anumang uri ng human trafficking dahil buhay, dignidad, at kinabukasan ng tao ang nakataya rito. Patuloy ang ating pagtutok sa mga kasong tulad nito habang sinisiguro rin natin na bawat operasyon ng PNP ay isinasagawa nang may respeto sa karapatang pantao at naaayon sa batas,” said PNP Chief, PGen Nartatez.

The operation forms part of the continuing efforts of the PNP to strengthen law enforcement operations under its Focused Agenda on enhanced managing police operations, in support of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in maintaining peace, public safety, and accountability before the law.
