⚠️ My UnionBank Savings Account Has Been Compromised!
Let me share my experience to help others stay alert.
My UnionBank savings account is connected to the payment system I use for my social media platforms. Whenever I receive payments there, I immediately transfer the funds to another bank account where I keep all my savings. However, I forgot I had around ₱1,400 left in my UnionBank account.
On July 21, 2025, I randomly decided to check the account—just a gut feeling. To my surprise, I saw a transaction on the same day from *MyFatoorah-Shein Dubai AE for ₱554.77! I was shocked because I never authorized this transaction.
I immediately emailed UnionBank’s customer service to report it as unauthorized and requested an investigation. They replied saying it would take 5 banking days to process and advised me to temporarily lock my card to avoid further transactions. I didn’t lock the card at the time because there were no more funds left—I had already moved everything to my other bank.
On July 22, 2025, I received another text alert saying someone tried to use my card again! Luckily, there were no funds left to steal. I’m still in disbelief—I never clicked any suspicious links or visited unknown websites. I’m always cautious online, but somehow, my card still got hacked.
UnionBank customer service called and informed me that they will permanently lock my card for safety. I will still be able to make transfers, but no withdrawals or online transactions will be allowed. They also said the refund process could take up to 45 banking days, and advised me to visit the nearest branch for a card replacement.
🔒 If something like this happens to you, don’t wait. Contact UnionBank’s customer service right away. They are the only ones who can help recover your funds and secure your account.
Stay safe, everyone. Hackers are getting smarter. Always monitor your accounts, even if you think they’re safe.
