This detailed schematic depicts a complete v***r-compression refrigeration cycle: warm return air flows across the ev***rator coil, where a thermostatic expansion valve meters liquid refrigerant into the coil as a low-temperature liquid–v***r mix that absorbs heat and v***rizes. That low-pressure v***r passes through a replaceable suction-line filter and accumulator into the compressor, where pressure and temperature rise; an oil separator extracts entrained lubricant and returns it to the compressor’s reservoir via an oil-level regulator. The hot, high-pressure discharge gas then routes through a muffler and check valve into the condenser coil, rejects heat to the surrounding air, and condenses into liquid. From there it travels through liquid-line shutoff valves, a moisture indicator, filter–drier and sight glass before reaching the expansion valve again, thus completing the continuous refrigeration loop.
