To anyone judging women in their 40s or 50s for posting selfies, dancing videos, or sharing their wins — understand this:

We’re not “too old” for social media.
We’re just finally getting a moment to breathe.

Back then, there was no time for likes, filters, or posts — we were working moms, raising kids, holding down jobs, fixing homes, fighting silent battles with postpartum depression and anxiety — and doing it all without talking about it.

We didn’t have “monthly celebrations” or self-love reminders.
We had responsibilities. Expectations. Pressure.

But now?
Now we finally have a second for ourselves.
Now we get to flex. To share. To heal. To be seen.

Every selfie, every silly reel, every “small” win we post — it’s making up for the years we stayed quiet, invisible, and exhausted.

So no — 40s and 50s are not “too old” for social media.
We’re not late to the party.
We’re just the first generation of women who finally have the time — and the voice — to show up for ourselves.

A Mom’s Prayer

Dear God,

I have carried them in my body, in my arms, and now—
I carry them in prayer.
They have grown, and I have grown tired.
But still, I remain their shelter, their quiet place, their unseen strength.

I don’t ask for riches.
I don’t ask for ease.
I only ask—please, let them remember me.
Not just as the one who served,
But as the woman who dreamed, who loved, who gave everything without asking for anything back.

Let them find their way,
But let their hearts always find a way home.
Even just for a while.
Even just for a moment.
Even with empty hands—let their presence be enough.

And when I feel forgotten,
Wrap Your arms around me.
Remind me that being a mother is holy, even when it's lonely.
Remind me that I mattered, even in silence.
And if I am no longer their home…
Please, be mine.
