The moment payday hits... different people, places start asking you to come back.
This is how marketing works.
Appreciate Landers by the way! It's nice to go there, like the feel of the place, and good to get what we need from time to time. Not to shame them for this (keep going with your marketing efforts guys) but to bring awareness of marketing on a deeper level.
Timing they texted today... and well... that timing is not an accident.
There's nothing wrong with taking advantage of promos and getting benefits!
But I'm just taking this moment to pause and ask...
Am I leading my life? Choosing where I want to go, where to take my family, choosing what offers to take or to refuse
Does this align with where I'm going?
Or am I being blindly led by a carrot on a stick? Basically automatic, thoughtless yes to anything that feels good on the surface
And unconsciously realigning myself to what they want? Leading to nowhere
Nothing wrong with accepting marketing promos (heck some of them are really good!), but whats important is it's a conscious, willing choice you make each time.
There is a tradeoff. You get this in exchange for something. Remember that.
Just a reminder that you can make a choice. Sometimes it's very costly, sometimes it's low stakes... but you can always make a choice. You have agency.
