New year, but the same mission! 😁

I was at a retreat 2 weeks ago and there was a commitment activity at the end. As I was writing my commitment, I suddenly teared up because I was writing the same commitment that I made way back in 2015.

It suddenly dawned on me that for the past 8 years in doing His mission, one Person was constant, it was the Lord. He never did leave me, nor was I alone in the journey in pursuing His mission. As Jesus stated in Matthew 28:20, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end if the age."

Really excited on what's ahead, and where the Lord will take this earthly life of mine in making His name known. One thing's for sure, He'll be with me along the way and that is more than enough already.

In our path to pursuing Christ, there are certain relationships that we should keep. Relationships that bring you closer to Him, and relationships that would rebuke you in love. There are also relationships that you need to let go, knowing that not all relationships would benefit you in your pursuit of Christ.

Many times we make unwise decisions, thinking it would be best for us to take a certain path, not knowing it may lead to more destruction and pain.

There are many times in which I am too close to do something unwise as well. Relying on my own intuition and capacity. But I thank the Lord always for brothers and even sisters in Christ who love me so much that they're willing to correct and offend me in order for me to see the truth- the truth that I wasn't able to see making decisions that are rooted in emotions and self-trust. I hope that you will always have patience with me, I know there will be more times in which I might decide on something unwise. 😅

It's these relationships that we should keep. Do you have relationships as well that bring you closer to Christ?

How far did the Lord take your life?

Had time to reflect as I remembered my spiritual birthday on the 24th, and by God's grace, it has been 10 years since Jesus found me.

A decade of journeying this earthly life with Jesus. Oh, what a journey indeed. A decade of sanctification, a decade of daily dying to yourself, a decade of discipleship, and a decade of joy being with my Savior.

Palagi kong sinasabi, "Lord ang layo ko pa from being the person who You want me to be, pero Lord ang layo na ng narating ng buhay na to na patuloy Mong ginagamit."

We often need to remember how far the Lord has taken our lives, remembering it like the Memorial Stones in Joshua 4. Makakalimutin kasi tayo eh, we often forget the Master Potter is in the process of forming our lives so that we become more and more like Him.

What you exemplify as a leader is what others would follow.

If you're not living a life of holiness, do you expect the people you're leading would live it out? If you yourself don't evangelize, do you expect the people under your care would? We need to remember that leadership is often caught rather than taught. What you are exemplifying matters.

Tidying up my room when I saw a bunch of IDs that I was a part of this year- whether as a participant, servant, or speaker.

The Lord reminded me of how far He has taken this life of mine. It's not just His grace that saved me from my sins, but also grace that He used this life of mine for His glory.

We often need to go back to where God picked us up. From where we were without Him, and where we are now in Christ. And when you truly understand that serving Him is all by grace, there's no reason for you to stop. Why stop serving God and others? He didn't have to use you, but He did- that's grace.

Prayer and working for that prayer to come to light goes hand-in-hand.

One thing the Lord has been teaching me over the past months is to be totally dependent on Him through prayer. We sometimes tend to think that prayer is the "lesser work", but that's a wrong perspective on prayer. As followers of Christ, prayer should be the foundation before anything else we do.

But that doesn't mean we just sit and do nothing. Working for that prayer to come to light should be the next thing we do. May it be for a ministry, a career path, the salvation of a loved one, or anything else you are praying for. We should work as though it depends on us.
