Philippine Army Chief Lauds 10ID for Insurgency-Free Gains, Awards CGPA Streamers to Top Performing Units
MAWAB, DAVAO DE ORO β The Commanding General of the Philippine Army, Lieutenant General Roy Galido, commended the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division Philippine Army for its significant accomplishments in clearing most of its Joint Operational Area (JOA) of insurgency during his visit to Camp General Manuel T Yan Sr., Tuboran, Mawab, Davao de Oro on July 24, 2025.
Agila Division Commander Major General Allan Hambala welcomed Lt. Gen. Galido and his party.
In his address to brigade and battalion commanders, Lt. Gen. Galido emphasized the strategic value of 10IDβs operational gains, particularly the insurgency-free declarations across multiple areas. He lauded the relentless efforts of line units that contributed to lasting peace and security in the region.
Lt. Gen. Galido also urged Agila Troopers to foster a βnew environmentβ within the ranksβanchored in professionalism, accountability, and genuine transformation. He reminded the officers and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) that leadership is a duty to serve soldiers first and a responsibility to the organization and nationβnot a privilege for personal gain.
βAs we win on the ground, we must also win in characterβby building a culture of professionalism, respect, and purpose in every Filipino soldier,β Lt. Gen. Galido said.
In recognition of outstanding performance in Internal Security Operations, Lt. Gen. Galido awarded CGPA (Commanding General, Philippine Army) Streamers to top-performing brigade and battalion units under 10ID. These included the 1001st (PAG-ASA), 1003rd (RAPTOR), and 701st (KAGITINGAN) Infantry Brigades, along with the 25th (FIREBALL), 27th (ACTION), 28th (KAMAGONG), 39th (SMASH 'EM), 48th (GUARDIANS), 60th (MEDIATOR), 66th (KABALIKAT), and 67th (AGILA) Infantry Battalions. Their combined efforts led to the dismantling of NPA's Sub-Regional Committees (SRCs), Guerilla Fronts (GFs), and Regional Operational Commands under the Southern, North Central, and Northeastern Mindanao Regional Committees.
Moreover, certain units also received CGPA Significant Accomplishment and Major Engagement Streamers for high-impact operations, which led to the capture and surrender of high-value individuals (HVIs), recovery of fi****ms, and disruption of enemy hideouts.
