We rest assured knowing God always keeps His word. He tells us His plans for us are good, and we know this to be true because we have seen His hands work miracles in our lives and the lives of others. He promises salvation, and as we surrender our lives to Him, we know our inheritance in His Kingdom is secure. God is trustworthy, and He consistently covers us with His gracious love all the days of our life.

Oh our Savior Jesus you chose the lowly things of this world, the poor, the downtrodden, the uneducated, the weak, far more than the affluent and wealthy. You did this for your glory to discourage boasting. Let us all, as Christians, partake of a single Christian "culture" and not divide into our separate groups and neglect to relate to those outside of that group. We are one in you, let us act like it. In Jesus Name Amen.

What does Paul mean to mind not high things? It cannot mean to avoid the high, deep doctrines of God which Paul himself often teaches. He says that we should condescend to men of low estate. He seems to mean that we should not talk over people's heads, be focused always on things that only the "affluent" could relate to or appreciate, or separate ourselves from other brothers/sisters in Christ based on wealth and class.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Dear Heavenly Father, we have multiple decisions to make in our lifetime. Whether big or small, we will come to You for direction and always seek Your will. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

We face many choices throughout our earthly lives and come to the Lord seeking His will. We intend to make good choices and fail without His direction. We must listen carefully and obey His instruction even though we disagree or fail to understand His reasoning. We are limited in our wisdom and will rely on our Creator when it comes time to make decisions.
