May your calculator turn on without reluctance and your pen runs smoothly without ever drying out.

May your memory surpass even your teacher's most severe red markings.

When in doubt, may the letter C in the multiple choice illuminate the path and may your predictions prove to be divinely correct.

I hope your internet remains faithful, your caffeine hits the spot, and your silent screams throughout tests go unheard.

And may your professor have a golden heart in the event that all falls apart.

Truth and fortitude—always. But in their absence, snacks and sheer academic survival instincts shall suffice.

The second day of the Lycean Career Fest provided students with another round of meaningful interaction centered on career development and personal improvement. Although the morning gathering was modest, those who came were treated to intelligent conversations on crucial themes such as personal branding, ethical behaviors in the professional sphere, and the changing importance of social media—particularly LinkedIn—in job seeking.

Speakers underlined the need of establishing a professional identity early in today's competitive market. Students were advised to plan ahead of time, improve their internet presence, and keep integrity and ethics in mind as they pursue their jobs.

In the afternoon, the momentum switched, and the college booths became a swarm of activity once more. Students from all year levels continued to explore numerous departments, groups, and career choices, demonstrating that even on Day 2, the excitement had not worn off.

To wrap out the day, Lyceans gathered for the much-anticipated Acoustic Friday event. The campus came alive with music and shared laughter as students jammed together, reviving the friendly environment that many had missed. It was an appropriate end to the day's festivities, reminding everyone of the joy of joining together as a community.

Day 2 of the Lycean Career Fest was filled with inspiration from the presentations, enthusiasm from the exhibitors, and music to cap off the day.

The Career Fest held on May 8, 2025 at Freedom Hall, Lyceum of the Philippines - Davao unfolded as a vibrant celebration of ambition, identity, and future aspirations. The event served as a powerful reminder to students that choosing a college program should reflect both who they are and who they hope to become.

Representatives from various colleges including the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Accountancy and Business, and the College of Health Sciences took the stage to share insights, correct common misconceptions, and offer guidance to aspiring professionals.

More than just an informative event, the Career Fest inspired students to align their academic paths with their passions and abilities. It encouraged them to set goals that are not only realistic but also meaningful.

One memorable moment came when a student boldly declared, “I want to be the first Filipino to land on the moon,” while dressed as an astronaut. This statement captured the energy and optimism that filled the room.

Other students confidently walked the stage as triathletes, aerospace engineers, soldiers, and even as the First Lady of the Philippines. Each costume reflected a personal dream and a deeper story behind the chosen role. Despite the differences in attire and aspirations, all shared a common thread — the desire to serve Filipino society and make a lasting contribution to the world.

| 3rd Term Preliminary Examinations on April 21-23

For three days, the nights will stretch longer, and morning alarms might sound a little harsher. When the silence grows louder past midnight, there might be more questions scribbled on your heart than on the 100-item questionnaires.

“Is my best enough for tomorrow’s exam?”
“What if I fail? I shouldn’t sleep.”
“I can’t absorb anything anymore.”

This is the last term of the academic year, and preliminary examinations are knocking. This is a gentle reminder that you don’t need to rush because you’re afraid of being left behind. That being “ahead of the curve” is not a prerequisite to be celebrated because in time, a curve folds into a sphere and that simply means we all get there, each in our own time. 𝘈𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴.

So, read those books but never let them dim the light in your eyes. Lock in and aim for the A’s but never at the cost of losing yourself. After all, you’ve made it this far and this is just another examination, not a life sentence.

And if by Thursday, no one applauds how you've come, pat your head to say, “You did great!” no matter the outcome.

𝐀𝐡𝐨𝐲, 𝐋𝐲𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬!

The holidays may be over, but our sails are still full! As we dock back at LPU Davao, here’s your quick guide to staying on course with the new Phygital Learning Modality—a smart blend of physical and digital classes to keep everyone safe and sound.

Here’s the gist:
1. Feeling sick? If you're showing Mpox symptoms, you can attend class online.
2. Feeling fine? On-campus attendance is a must!
3. For faculty: Keep Microsoft Teams open and record sessions—just in case someone’s in quarantine.

Let’s keep the ship steady with these safety protocols:
• Wash up
• Keep your distance
• Learn the symptoms

Report if you're unwell. Show up if you're healthy.
