St. Peter’s College of Toril, Inc. continues to intensify security measures to ensure the safety and protection of its students, faculty, and staff.

These efforts include more stringent monitoring of entry and exit points, the strict enforcement of access protocols, and heightened vigilance regarding potential hazards within the school premises.

August 22, 2026—the members of the Red Cross Youth Club (RCYC) attended the Youth Volunteer Formation Course(YVFC) led by the Red Cross Youth instructors, strengthening their insights on leadership and teamwork. During the morning, participants engaged in honing their values and qualities to help build strong camaraderie. In the afternoon, a team building activity was conducted allowing students to test their skills and utilise cooperation within the games.

The activity has served not only as a door to the Red Cross Youth organisation, but has also allowed members to understand the importance of teamwork, communication, and understanding.

August 22, 2026—St. Peter College of Toril, Inc. (SPCT) held its Girls Scout Of the Philippines (GSP) Investiture Ceremony, a solemn occasion where Petreans officially took their places as Girl Scouts of the Philippines. The event was hosted and led by Ms. Richelle Mae G. Balorio and Mrs. Haydee G. Baraas who guided the ceremony with grace and purpose. Family members filled the venue, their proud smiles a quiet chorus behind every pledge and every pin.

The ceremony saw new scouts receive their pin and take their Girl Scout Promise — a moment of commitment that marked the beginning of their journey in service, leadership, and sisterhood. Speeches from GSP leaders reminded everyone that the uniform is not just fabric, but a symbol of duty to God, country, and peers. Each hand raised in salute carried the weight of a promise to be brave, kind, and disciplined.

August 22, 2026—St. Peter’s College of Toril, Inc. (SPCT) successfully conducted a seminar-training on “Training on Proper Handling of Chemicals, Laboratory Apparatuses, and Chemical Waste Disposal.” Led by Mr. Zosimo Paragosa, Jr., the training equipped Science teachers with essential knowledge and practical skills for safe laboratory practices.

The activity brought together Science teachers from Holy Cross of Mintal, Holy Cross of Sta. Maria, Notre Dame of Mlang, and St. Peter’s College of Toril, Inc. Spearheaded by Science Coordinator Mrs. Elena Tabat, the training highlighted the schools’ shared commitment to professional development, laboratory safety, and quality Science education.

SPCT Champions the Circular Economy Quiz Bee

Earlier today, participants from St. Peter’s College of Toril, Inc. (SPCT) emerged as champions in the Circular Economy Caravan quiz bee, showcasing their knowledge and commitment to environmental sustainability. The team was guided by their coach, Ms. Glaiza Villarobia.

The Circular Economy Caravan provided participants with valuable insights into environmental sustainability, deepening their understanding of the importance of protecting and nurturing the environment. The quiz bee served as an opportunity for the participants to put their knowledge into action and demonstrate their commitment to promoting a sustainable future.

August 15, 2026 — Campus journalists from St. Peter’s College of Toril, Inc. (SPCT) joined the Campus Journalism Academy held at Crossing Bayabas National High School. (CBNHS). The event included individual journalism for the secondary level, along with TV broadcasting (secondary) and Mobile Journalisms held for elementary and secondary participants.

The academy aimed to strengthen students’ journalism skills, improve their writing and broadcasting abilities, and deepen their understanding of responsible campus journalism.

𝗪𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗻𝗲, 𝗪𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗞𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗢𝗻𝗲!

August 14, 2026—We celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day alongside the Kadayawan sa Davao Festival, honoring the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and contributions of the Indigenous Peoples and communities of Davao. “Kadayawan” is derived from the Dabawenyo greeting “Madayaw,” which means good, valuable, or bountiful. Rooted in traditional thanksgiving celebrations for a bountiful harvest, Kadayawan has grown into one of Davao City’s most meaningful celebrations of culture, unity, and abundance.

May this year’s Kadayawan Celebration remind us to value our roots, appreciate the diversity of our communities, and continue to honor the traditions that make Davao City truly unique. May we celebrate not only the abundance around us, but also the unity that brings us together as one Dabawenyos.

𝘚𝘢 𝘩𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘯, 𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘺𝘢𝘬 𝘯𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘮𝘵𝘢𝘯.

True to the Scout motto, "Laging Handa," the St. Peter's College of Toril, Inc. (SPCT) Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) proudly secured 4th Place in the Rescue Olympics Team held in celebration of the 61st Founding Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Davao City Council on July 18, 2026, at Magallanes Elementary School, Davao City.

This achievement reflected the team's dedication, discipline, and teamwork. Congratulations to Sam Yvan Limosnero, Von Jozsef Lupio, Quin Hendrix P. Cruz, Princess Anne Margarette G. Jaspe, Lianah Jane V. Pascua, Kelvin Navasquez, Aaliyah Sheris Pacalioga, Ralph Rhegie Amoy, Fritz Kelly Ugpo, and John Michael Albite for proudly representing the school.

The scouts were guided by Mr. Christopher James S. Tañola, whose unwavering support and commitment greatly contributed to this accomplishment.
