𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟲 | 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗭𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥🌏

On this day, the 16th of September, we celebrate International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 is celebrated every year on 16 September. It was created by the United Nations in 1994 to mark the signing of the Montreal Protocol in 1987 — a landmark decision aimed at getting rid of substances over time that use up the ozone layer.

In this world, people join on September 16 to learn about the ozone layer, to stop using things that harm it, to keep the air safe, also to protect the Earth.

Recognizing excellence and celebrating achievements

SEPTEMBER 10, 2025 — St. Peter’s College of Toril, Inc. held the Awarding of Honors for Grades 1 to 12 at the school gymnasium. The ceremony highlighted the outstanding academic performance and dedication of the students throughout the first quarter.

Parents, teachers, and school staff gathered to commend the awardees for their perseverance and excellence, marking the institution’s commitment to nurturing both intellect and character.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | SPCT Outreach Program for Fire Victims in Salaysay, Marilog District
Extending help, fostering hope

AUGUST 27, 2025 — SPCT’s faculty and students conducted an outreach program in Salaysay, Marilog District, Davao City, where relief goods and clothing were distributed to families affected by a recent fire incident. This initiative aimed to bring immediate assistance and comfort to the victims while inspiring students to embody the values of compassion, generosity, and solidarity. Through this act of service, the SPCT community reaffirms its mission to extend care beyond the school walls and stand with communities in times of hardship.

As the first quarter comes to a close, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to every student who has shown dedication, perseverance, and resilience in their academic performance and journey.

To our achievers with Highest Honors, High Honors, and with Honors, your commitment to excellence stands as an inspiration to the entire Petrean community. Your determination reflects not just intelligence, but discipline and hard work.

And to those who may not have received honors this time, know that your efforts are equally recognized. Every late-night review, every lesson learned, and every step forward is an achievement in itself. On this day, the 8th of September, we celebrate International Literacy Day, centered on the theme “𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙧𝙖.”

𝘿𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬?
International Literacy Day was proclaimed by UNESCO on the 8th of September 1966 to remind people about how important literacy is for individuals, communities and societies. This concern has been a key component in UN Sustainable Development Goals since 2015, as well as in their 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

Acquiring literacy is not a one-time act, but an ongoing movement that goes beyond the mere ability to read and write. In this generation’s increasingly digital, text-mediated, information-rich, and ever-changing world, literacy is recognized as a dynamic tool for identification, understanding, interpretation, creation, and communication.

In this world full of constant change, let us not forget to uphold the value and lessons of literacy as a foundation for lifelong learning.

SEPTEMBER 4, 2025 — St. Peter’s College of Toril conducted the Moderators’ Training with the theme “Creating a Quality Club Journey with Various Ages” The session featured Mr. Leonides Jimmy T. Jesuro III, RGC, LPT, who shared insights on fostering inclusivity and leadership in student organizations. The activity highlighted the crucial role of moderators in guiding Petrean learners through meaningful and purpose-driven club experiences.
