WHY would a Jewish Rabbi speak to a Samaritan woman everyone avoided?

In the 1st century, Jews and Samaritans didn’t just disagree…
they **avoided each other completely.**

And rabbis?
They rarely spoke publicly with women—especially someone with a broken reputation.

Yet Jesus did the unthinkable.

At a simple well in Samaria, He crossed **racial barriers, cultural hatred, and social stigma** just to reach one person.

Why?

Because the Gospel was never meant only for the “acceptable.”
It was meant for the **thirsty.**

That day, Jesus offered her something deeper than water:

**“Living Water.”**
