LOCAL ELECTIONS

‎As of 11:11 PM, currently detained Former President Rodrigo Duterte of Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod (HTL) leads the mayoral bid for Davao City in the 2025 Midterm Elections with 637,091 votes, while his son Sebastian "Baste" Duterte of Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod (HTL) leads the vice-mayoral bid with 626,221 votes.

Paolo Duterte (HTL) emerges as the frontrunner for the 1st Legislative District Congressman position with 195,903 votes; Omar Duterte (HTL) leads the 2nd Legislative District with 160,086 votes; and Isidro Ungab (HTL) is ahead in the 3rd Legislative District with 166,225 votes.

As of this report, COMELEC has received 76.73% of the election returns.

NATIONAL ELECTIONS

In the partial and unofficial tally from COMELEC as of 9:05 PM, B**g Go of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDPLBN) leads the senatorial bid in the 2025 Midterm Elections with 19,468,145 votes. He is followed by Bam Aquino of Katipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP) with 15,964,036 votes, and Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa (PDPLBN) with 14,826,917 votes.

In the party-list race, Akbayan is currently leading with 2,219,662 votes, followed by Duterte Youth with 1,720,224 votes.

As of this report, COMELEC has received 58.9% of the election returns.

DAVAO CITY - As of 7:12 pm, at Brgy. Catalunan Pequeño Elementary School, election staff have begun to close the voting process and commenced counting of ballots.

SOCCSKSARGEN - Reports reaching the UP Mindanao publication Himati revealed that some ballots were already pre-shaded favoring a party-list aligned to a political family in Sultan Kudarat. Three people in President Quirino Elementary School in Sulltan Kudarat in two cluster precincts reported this incident, as one of them claimed they were coerced to vote with the pre-shaded ballots.

Tampering of ballots and illegal campaigning are election offenses.

NATIONAL ELECTIONS

Current Makabayan senatorial candidate Amirah "Mek" Lidasan is unable to find her name in the voters' list at her assigned precinct, Matanog, Maguindanao. According to Lidasan, she voted in the same precinct last 2022 presidential elections, classifying her as an active voter.

Accordingly, other voters are experiencing the same issues of 'missing names' within the area, nullifying their chances to vote.

Investigations by Koalisyong Makabayan are underway.

DAVAO CITY - Member of the COMELEC Electoral Board Support Staff Diosdada H. Igar recounted the technical difficulties they have encountered with the automated counting machines (ACMs) at the Buhangin Central Elementary School. Common problems include paper jams, ballots that cannot be fed, and voter receipts being stuck.

She highlighted one instance where a technical difficulty lasted about 20 minutes, causing significant delay in the voting process of her room.

Issues of overvoting were also noted in some ACMs.

DAVAO DEL SUR - Residents of Rizal, Bansalan, Davao del Sur shared their experiences regarding this year’s election process, comparing it to the the previous elections.

Nestor Ortega, a senior citizen, expressed his joy over this year’s election, stating that he considers this year’s process more efficient.

“Mas gwapo ron— dali ra bitaw siya mahuman, dili siya samok. Gubot man sauna, murag himutang ron ba.”

Persons with Disabilities (PWD) member Jameson Cedeño resonated with Ortega, citing that the conduct of Automated Counting Machines (ACM) has become more convenient on his part.

“Isip PWD, mas hasol man to sauna kay sulat sulat man, karon kay shading nalang man."

The mother of an 11-month-old child, Louise Soberano, echoed the same sentiments while emphasizing the importance of participating in these democratic processes.

“We have the right to vote… kung dili ta mobutar, dili pud madungog atong karapatan.”

Rizal Elementary School Principal Elexis Eleccion elaborated on their control of the situation, citing their solutions if the ACM malfunctions.

“When there is a malfunction, automatically we had informed our voters regarding the malfunctioning of our ACM same with our COMELEC… As with our DESO (Department of Education Supervisor Official) and the other EBs (Electoral Board), we tried to notify our voters with what we call patience.”

Issues concerning undercounted votes and malfunctioning ACMs were reported earlier today.
