PUBLIC NOTICE | NCCC Supermarket Mall VP has been part of a familiar place for Davaoeños—one filled with memories and tied to many everyday moments in the city.

As we prepare to close this branch, we thank our customers for the trust and support you have given us during our time here.

Our final day of operations will be on December 31, 2025. We look forward to continuing to serve you at our other NCCC Supermarket branches.

The Bucana Bridge is a 1,340-meter, four-lane extradosed bridge crossing the Davao River as part of the Davao City Coastal Road Project. It is aimed at easing traffic congestion of the main thoroughfares, provide a faster, safer alternative route, and improve transport efficiency and connectivity across Davao City. The bridge was opened to vehicles on December 19, 2025.

There are currently 3 "Libreng Sakay" programs in Davao City. These are composed of 27 bus units which operate only during rush hours.

●DC Bus of the City Government of Davao has 10, which are low-entry city buses of Yutong by Autokid.
●Love Bus of the DOTr has 16 coach buses, which are contracted from Bachelor, Mindanao Star, and Golden Valley bus lines.
●OVP Bus has 1 coach bus unit of its own.

These buses provide great help for commuters especially during rush hours.

Nevertheless, these are just worthwhile solutions while the city awaits the full implementation of the Davao Public Transport Modernization Project.

LOOK: These people have been waiting for the bus since 9AM here at Toril District Hall station, hoping that there's still one coming. They know it's past 10AM - the supposed end of AM operations - but since they have been waiting for more than an hour already (it's 10:20 AM as of this writing), they still want to stay a little more.. nagbabakasakali.

This is the value of real time monitoring - saving time. But since that feature is yet to be established, I think having an online support to accommodate the what-time-is-the-bus-coming? question would be a great help - while we are still waiting for a real-time monitoring app (or Google Maps integrations).

I did send inquiries to DC bus Official FB page re: today's bus schedules/bus location monitoring, but I think the page is not designed to accommodate such online inquiries since I have not received a response from them - or, maybe, its system to address online inquiries regading bus schedules is yet to be established.

I also checked their Facebook posting, it says there the days it is not operating is during Christmas and New Year. So, the DC Buses should be operating today (?).

We recognize that the DC Bus is relatively new, so we are hopeful that we are going to have a more refined system in the near future.

In the meantime, all we can do is to find ways to adjust to the system currently in place to address "wasted time" issue.

In the shoes of passengers:
- just know when to use alternative transport.

To the DC Bus:
- Online support to address common question - such as "naa pa buy bus moabot or mobyahe ATM?" - would be a great help.
