Davao City is leading the way in innovation as it moves further into the 21st century. Under the leadership of Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, the city has become one of the premier local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines in terms of utilizing technology to provide more efficient and effective public services.

The DC Bus, which features a centralized monitoring and command center, offers modern, free transportation in preparation for the full Davao Bus System. Furthermore, digital platforms like "Davao City Reports" provide an integrated, timely feedback system for citizens to voice their concerns. The upcoming DCitizen ID is also expected to simplify local transactions and improve overall access to city services.

Proposed initiatives from the City Council, led by the Committee of Information Technology chair Bonz Bon-bon Militar, further push and highlight the importance of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist in disaster and emergency response, traffic management, and the optimization of government services.

These initiatives are only a glimpse of what the city has planned. With these advancements, it is clear that Davao City is not just a place where "Life is Here", but a city where the future is being built.

Senior citizens now begin receiving their DCitizen IDs (pilot testing).

From what I've heard, it will soon be available to the general public as well.

The DCitizen ID is Davao City's unified identification system designed to make access to local government services easier and more efficient.

Rising beside the Davao Finance Center, this 16-storey office and commercial building will provide approximately 24,000 square meters of leasable space once completed.

The LEED-certified development will also feature five parking levels and a roof deck.

Of its 16 storeys, nine are reportedly intended for office spaces.
