Someone messaged me after seeing an Upwork job post:

“Hi Jay, I saw this AI Automation job on Upwork. Do you think you can build something like this?”

He sent me the job post.

I looked at the requirements and said:

“YES. I can build it. Once it's working, I'll sell you the system so you can present it to the client. And since I'm building it anyway, I'll package a version for anyone else who needs the same kind of automation for $49.”

His answer?

“Deal!” 🤝

I got an email notification from Upwork saying there was a project that matched my skills. So I clicked it… and of course, there were already tons of people who had sent proposals. 😂

I thought, “Well, I probably won’t get this one again.”

I’ve applied to so many projects already, and sometimes it feels like 90% of the time, the person who gets hired is the one who speaks the best English during the interview even when someone else might actually be better at doing the technical work. Haha.

So instead of spending more time applying and waiting…

I just built the project the client was asking for. 😂

It’s a complete Dental Clinic Automation System built with n8n, including appointment reminders, WhatsApp/SMS automation, patient CONFIRM/RESCHEDULE/CANCEL responses, missed-call recovery, Google Calendar, Google Sheets logging, Vapi AI voice integration, and more.

I packaged it so other dental clinics, automation agencies, or developers looking for the same system don’t have to spend days building everything from scratch.

🚀 I didn’t just build a portfolio. I built a system around it.

I wanted my portfolio to do more than simply say:

“Here are the things I can build.”

I wanted it to actually work.

So I built my own AI-focused portfolio where potential clients can explore my work, understand what I do, and if they have a project in mind submit their project directly through the website.
