NEWS UPDATE: The camp of businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang has filed complaints for attempted robbery with violence and intimidation, grave threat, grave coercion, incriminating an innocent person, and slander before the Mandaluyong Prosecutor’s Office against Julie “Dondon” Patidungan and Alan “Brown” Bantiles.

The two are allegedly acting as whistleblowers who named Ang as the mastermind behind the disappearance of 34 cockfighting enthusiasts (sabungeros).

Ang denied all allegations against him, claiming he had no involvement in the case. He also alleged that “Brown” called him and demanded ₱300 million in exchange for not linking him to the disappearance of the sabungeros.

Breaking News: Writ of Kalikasan kontra sa SIDC Bridge, gitugtan sa Korte Suprema

Gi-tugtan sa Korte Suprema ang writ of kalikasan ngadto sa China-funded Samal Island–Davao City Connector Bridge Project.

Gipatubag sulod lang sa 10 ka adlaw ang mga respondents sa kaso alang sa verified return sa petition nga mao ang Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Samal Island Protected Landscape and Seascape Protected Area Management Board, ug China Road and Bridge Corporation.

Samtang, gi-refer sa Korte Suprema sa Court of Appeals Cagayan de Oro City ang prayer alang sa temporary environmental protection order, uggaling tugutan sa CA-CDO, posibleng maundang una ang pag-buhat sa tulay.

Gikumpirma gahapon sa Department of Public Works and Highways nga anaa na sa 38% ang completion rate sa nagpadayong konstruksyon sa Samal Island-Davao City Connector Bridge.
