Winners of the Parade of Attires — Showcasing the beauty of Filipino culture and tradition, students of Waan National High School stood out during the Parade of Attires in celebration of Buwan ng Wika culmination held on August 28, 2025, at the school gym.

First Place- Mechaila Rose Lacadon and Hassim Khalifa (Grade12 Amber)

Second Place - Normayla Zamoranos (Grade 9 Yakal) and John Wayne Bantiles (Grade 11-Gold)

Third Place- Fheabe Ann Amalias Esco (Grade 9-Narra) and Haytham Hussein Madeja (Grade 11-Diamond)

Fourth Place- Abegail Pascua (Grade 11-Diamond) and Nhor Balo (Grade 9-Yakal)

Fifth Place - Ayla Amerol (Grade 8-Mangga) and Randol Lintangi (Grade 10-Bonifacio)

Buwan ng Wika Culmination at Waan NHS — Students of Waan National High School showcased their talents during the culmination program of Buwan ng Wika on August 28, 2025, spearheaded by Filipino coordinators Sir Donjel Cubero (Junior High School) and Ma’am Honey Joy R. Mancia (Senior High School).

The celebration began with a parade of traditional and creative Filipino attire, followed by a variety of contests: Grades 7 and 8 impressed the crowd with their singing competition, where Grade 7 Waling-waling emerged as the standout; Grades 9 and 10 staged an engaging Sabayang Pagbasa, highlighted by the excellent performance of Grade 10 Bonifacio; while Grades 11 and 12 brought the event to a climax with their Malikhaing Pagbasa, in which Grade 12 students gave a remarkable presentation.

This year’s observance carried the official DepEd 2025 theme: “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.”
