Maaaring hangaan ng tao ang mga nagawa ng isang tao, ngunit ang kabutihan ng kanyang puso ang tunay na hindi malilimutan. Ang kababaang-loob, katapatan, at taos-pusong pagmamalasakit ni Rene Baterbonia 2.0 sa kapwa ang dahilan kung bakit siya minamahal at pinagkakatiwalaan ng napakaraming tao. 🤍

"Kung 'di lang kami mahirap, hindi ako aalis ng Agusan."

Ito ang minsang nasabi ni Rene Baterbonia bago siya sumama sa kanyang team patungong Davao.

Isang simpleng pangungusap, ngunit sumasalamin sa realidad ng maraming Pilipino. Marami ang napipilitang iwan ang kanilang pamilya at lugar na kinalakhan, hindi dahil gusto nila, kundi dahil kailangan. Hindi para takasan ang buhay, kundi para hanapin ang oportunidad na wala sa kanilang sariling bayan.

Ang mga salitang ito ay paalala na sa likod ng bawat pag-alis ay may pangarap, may responsibilidad, at may pamilyang umaasang balang araw ay giginhawa ang kanilang buhay.

Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang kanyang kwento—na patuloy nating pahalagahan ang sipag, tiyaga, at sakripisyong ginagawa ng mga taong nagsusumikap para sa kanilang mga mahal sa buhay.

From dreams and sacrifices to unforgettable memories, my Palarong Pambansa journey has been one of the greatest chapters of my life. Every training session, every challenge, every victory, and every setback helped shape me into a stronger athlete and person.

Representing Davao Region on the national stage was an honor that I will always carry with pride. This journey was never just about medals—it was about growth, friendships, lessons, and the people I met along the way.

Thank you, Off-Campus. Thank you, Ateneo. Thank you, Davao Region. Thank you to my coaches, teammates, family, and everyone who supported me throughout this journey.

As this chapter comes to an end, I leave with a grateful heart and memories that will last a lifetime.

Justice for Rene Baterbonia

Justice is not about hatred. It is about accountability.

We call on those responsible to be transparent, answer the difficult questions, and cooperate fully with any investigation into the circumstances surrounding Rene Baterbonia's tragic death.

If there were lapses in safety, supervision, or decision-making, the truth must come out. Accountability is not an attack—it is a responsibility.

No family should be left with unanswered questions. No institution should be above accountability.

We respectfully urge the administrators of Ateneo de Manila to respond with transparency, compassion, and responsibility. The truth honors Rene's memory, and justice gives his family the peace they deserve.
