The Bible teaches that God’s creation and provision are good and can be received with thanksgiving. Our focus should not be on condemning others over food, but on receiving what God provides with gratitude, prayer, and faith.

At the same time, Christian freedom should always be exercised in a way that honors God and does not cause another believer to stumble.

The greater lesson is this: Food is not the measure of our righteousness—our relationship with God and the condition of our heart are.

Receive with thanksgiving. Eat with gratitude. And in everything, glorify God.

Jesus explains that food entering the body does not spiritually defile a person. What truly defiles us are the sinful attitudes, thoughts, words, and actions that flow from within. The real issue is what comes from the heart—evil thoughts, immorality, pride, deceit, and other sins (Mark 7:20–23).

What enters the body does not make a person spiritually unclean; what comes from the heart does. Jesus teaches us that true purity is not merely about external things, but about the condition of our hearts. Let our words, actions, and desires reflect a heart surrendered to God.

God is more concerned with the purity of our hearts than with the things that enter our bodies.

This reminds us not to focus merely on external rules while neglecting the condition of our hearts. Christian freedom should also be exercised with love, wisdom, and consideration for others.

Trinity and Oneness both affirm that there is only one God, but they understand the relationship between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit differently.

𝙏𝙍𝙄𝙉𝙄𝙏𝘼𝙍𝙄𝘼𝙉, 𝙑𝙄𝙀𝙒: One God eternally existing as three distinct Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Persons are distinct, yet share one divine nature.

𝙊𝙉𝙀𝙉𝙀𝙎𝙎 𝙑𝙄𝙀𝙒: One God and one divine Person, who is revealed in different ways or manifestations as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus is understood as the full revelation of the one God.

The key difference is not whether there is one God, but how the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are related within the one God.

The Bible clearly teaches one God and clearly speaks of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Christians differ in how they put all these passages together. Whatever our conclusion, we should approach the subject with humility, Scripture, and love.

Ecclesiastes 10:1 (NIV)
"As dead flies give perfume a bad smell, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor."

The perfume represents a person with a good reputation—someone known for wisdom, integrity, and honor.

The dead flies represent a small act of foolishness, sin, carelessness, or poor judgment.

Just as a few dead flies can ruin an entire bottle of expensive perfume, one foolish decision can damage a reputation built over many years.

> Character is valuable but fragile. It takes
years to earn respect, but a single foolish act
can quickly destroy it.
> Never underestimate "small" sins. What
seems like a minor compromise—pride, anger,
dishonesty, gossip, or immorality—can have
serious consequences.
> Wisdom must be consistently practiced. It's
not enough to be wise most of the time. A
lack of self-control in one moment can
outweigh many good deeds in the eyes of
others.

Practical application
- Guard your words and actions.
- Don't become careless because of past success.
- Stay humble and dependent on God every day.
- Repent quickly when you fail, and seek God's grace to restore you.
---------------------------

Proverbs 22:1
"A good name is more desirable than great riches."

Galatians 5:9
"A little leaven leavens the whole lump." (A small influence can affect everything.)

James 3:5
"The tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts."
---------------------------

A lifetime of wisdom can be overshadowed by a moment of foolishness.

Therefore, treasure your godly character more than your achievements, and ask the Lord daily for wisdom, humility, and self-control so that your life continues to bring honor to Him.

Because of Jesus Christ, believers no longer approach God through fear, rituals, or their own good works.

Through His death and resurrection, He opened the way for us to come directly into the Father's presence with confidence.

We can begin each day in prayer, knowing that God hears us—not because we deserve it, but because Jesus has finished the work of salvation.

As David sought God every morning in Psalm 5, Christians today can confidently draw near to God through Christ, our great High Priest.
--------------------

Psalm 5:3 (NIV)
"In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly."

Hebrews 4:16 (NIV)
"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

John 14:6
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Ephesians 2:18
"For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit."

Romans 5:1–2
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand."

Hebrews 10:19–22
"Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus... let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings."
-----------------

Start every morning by bringing your prayers to God with confidence. You do not need to earn His acceptance. Through Jesus Christ, you already have direct access to the throne of grace. Pray expectantly, trust His promises, and rest in His finished work.

"In the Morning, Lord, I lay my request before You and wait expectantly." (Psalm 5:3)

Psalm 5 is David's morning prayer. He begins his day by seeking God, bringing every concern before Him, and confidently expecting God to hear and answer. Rather than relying on his own strength, David entrusts his plans, burdens, and battles to the Lord.

For believers today, this truth is even greater because of Jesus Christ. Through His finished work on the cross, we no longer approach God from a distance—we have direct access to the Father.

We can boldly come into His presence with confidence, knowing He welcomes us as His children. Every morning is an opportunity to seek Him, surrender our day, and wait in faith for His guidance and grace.

"In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly."

Hebrews 4:16 (NIV)

Romans 5:1–2
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand."

John 14:13–14
"And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it."

Reflection
Start every morning in prayer, not because God is distant, but because Jesus has opened the way to the Father. Lay your requests before Him, trust His perfect timing, and wait with expectation. The God who hears your voice is also the God who faithfully answers according to His perfect will.
