This is not the first time I’ve turned to worship music when everything feels too heavy… when nobody sees me at my lowest, when I’m carrying emotions I don’t even know how to explain.
One of my favorite worship songs is “Been So Good.” Every time I listen to it, I feel a sense of relief. There have been moments when I would simply sit in a corner, listen, and cry… letting all my anxiety, fears, and worries pour out. And somehow, after those tears, I feel okay again.
But then there was this one song I just discovered, “I Speak to Jesus.” The moment I pressed play, it hit me differently. It reached a place in my heart that I didn’t even know needed healing.
To be honest, life has been hard for me lately. I’ve been carrying so many things..the worries about my mother’s condition, the ups and downs of being a mom, and the loneliness of having my partner away from us. I’ve been dealing with the pain of distance and separation for almost a year now. Some days I feel strong, and some days I simply don’t. But this song reminded me of something I already know deep in my heart..
nothing may change overnight, but the power of prayer never changes.
I may not always understand why I’m going through certain seasons, but I know that Jesus is listening. I know that God sees the tears I hide, hears the prayers I whisper, and knows the battles I fight silently. When I feel unseen, He reminds me that I am never forgotten.
When I feel like I can’t carry everything anymore, He reminds me that I don’t have to carry it alone. So I will keep praying. I will keep trusting. I will keep surrendering every fear, every worry, and every unanswered question to Him. Because sometimes, the miracle is not that our circumstances immediately change. Sometimes, the miracle is the peace God gives us while we are still in the middle of the storm.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God. And the peace of God will guard your hearts and your minds.”
✨Philippians 4:6-7
Lord, thank You for reminding me that You see me. You hear me. You know me. And even in the moments when I feel like I am at my lowest, You are still there. 💙💙💙
