𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The University of Mindanao’s Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Broadcasting graduating students celebrate their Internship Culmination Ceremony! 🎉

Held at UM’s Radio and Television Laboratory, DPT Building last August 4, 2025, the 4th-year students gathered to mark the successful completion of their internship journey with the theme: “Press Forward: The Next Cut.”

The ceremony kicked off with warm opening remarks from Radyo Singko Davao Anchor, Mr. Mike Pasco, setting an inspiring tone for the event.

During the program, the students had their time to share heartfelt reflections and key takeaways from their internship experiences across various media platforms, agencies, and communication fields. Their stories highlighted not just the skills they learned, but also the growth, challenges, and passion they developed throughout their journey.

The ceremony concluded on a heartfelt note with inspiring messages from Program Head Dinah Hernandez and Ms. Jessalou Silpa, encouraging the students to carry forward the lessons they've learned and to continue growing both personally and professionally.

Their words served as a reminder that while the internship has ended, the real journey is just beginning and each of them holds the power to shape the future of media with purpose, passion, and integrity.

Held at the University of Mindanao Matina Campus, Sustainability Shapers 2025: UM’s SDG Best Practices in Action brought together eleven outstanding initiatives from across various campuses and units—each one embodying the university’s strong commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

From environmental innovation and education to social impact, health, and governance, the showcased best practices demonstrated how UM continues to integrate sustainability into its core—through research, collaboration, and community-driven solutions.

Students dove into the basics and beauty of digital photography in a seminar entitled, "𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐓𝐎: 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐁𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲", igniting artistic expression and sharpening technical prowess. Empowered by knowledge and inspired by truth, first-year BA Communication students successfully conducted an enrichment seminar and workshop themed “𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗢𝗚 𝗦𝗔 𝗞𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗡: 𝗡𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔 𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗦 & 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗩 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚,” held on 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗧𝗩 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝗗𝗣𝗧 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼.

From engaging discussions on ethics to hands-on broadcasting experience, BA Communication first-year students walked away with sharpened skills and a renewed passion for the craft.
