Davao del Norte, Philippines โ November 7, 2025 โ The Northern Davao Mission (NDM) Communication Department successfully held the Restricted Radio Operatorsโ Land Mobile Permit Seminar yesterday, November 6, at the NDM Headquarters.
NDMโs Communication Department organized the one-day training in coordination with the SEPUM Communication Department and the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Region XI, represented by Director Nelson Caรฑete.
Sir Rhoen Catolico initiated the invitation of NTC Regional Director Nelson Caรฑete to orient the attendees. Catolico said, โThis is very useful for our ministry. Being compliant with government guidelines and policies protects the church's name.โ
Meanwhile, Director Caรฑete remarked, โThis is one of the natural resources that God has given; we will use it for our advantage.โ
During the opening of the seminar, Pastor Jnathan Maslog emphasized the importance of good communication. He highlighted his message by recalling the story of Joshuaโs men who spied the Promised Land and listened to good reports โ a reminder that faith and positive communication bring success to Godโs work.
Pastor Em Vladimir Undalok, NDM Communication Director, expressed his gratitude to the pastors and attendees who contributed to the seminarโs success. He said, โSalamat kaninyong tanan, dili ni mao ang katapusan, apan sinugdanan sa mas daghan pa.โ
The seminar equipped participants with essential knowledge for legal and responsible handheld radio use in the Philippines. Core topics included licensing and permit requirements, basic radio etiquette, frequency management, and emergency communication protocols. The program aimed to help church and community volunteers gain the competency and documentation needed to legally buy, carry, and operate handheld radios nationwide.
