Also, we didnโ€™t have a lot of time because of work. But we are still grateful dahil nasisingit namin ang aming kalusugan despite our VERY BUSY life. ๐Ÿ˜…

Medyo mabilis ang Zone 2 runs ko lately. Kase nag switch ako to Maffetone Method. Dati ang runs ko capped sa 125 bpm. Now, I run at 125 - 135 bpm. Mostly 133 - 135 bpm. Kasalanan ni ChatGPT yan. ๐Ÿคฃ

Hindi talaga priority sa amin ang speed. Saka na yan. Ang mahalaga ay easy runs para quick recoveries. Mas masarap mag easy runs araw araw kaysa hard runs na possible maglead to injury. Kaya kahit 10k pa ang distance, walang injury. But of course, may soreness pero normal lang naman ata iyon.

Anyway, laban lang mga kapatid! ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ˜†

Another 10k Zone 2 Run.

They both stopped at 8k because their feet were hurting. Itโ€™s hella impressive, nonetheless.

Today is Day 55 of our fitness journey. 55 days ago was our day 1 โ€œrunningโ€. And I remember my feet was giving out after about a lap in Azuela Cove. That was only about 2k jog/walk intervals.

Now, we ran the whole week:
Mon - 6k,
Tues - 6k,
Wed - 6k,
Thu - 6k,
Fri - 10k,
Sat - 8k
Sun - 10k

And my lower body is doing great. We may run slow but it definitely feels like thereโ€™s progress.

Wife stopped at 8k (very impressive) but I pushed to 10k. I can say hindi pa ako pagod given I โ€œjoggedโ€ at a seemingly walking pace. ๐Ÿ˜…

Medyo nakakahiya when everyone else is passing you. Pero sabi nga, โ€œTrust the process.โ€ So, ayun. Salamat Nikki Santos for the encouragement. Weโ€™ll probably run at this pace from now on.

It was fun. Parang hindi nakakapagod. Honestly, I feel like I can run for more laps pero wala nang oras. Sa mga next time nalang ulit.

Yesterday I ran 6km+ not knowing I was running at my Zone 4, 150 - 155 bpm. Without knowing about โ€œZonesโ€, I got pretty comfortable running at this pace. Akala ko normal to. ๐Ÿ˜…

Then I read about Zone 2 running. I wanted to try that today. So I did. Apparently, my Zone 2 almost felt like walking. My zone 2 suggests around 107 - 125 bpm and itโ€™s super slow. I didnโ€™t like it so I ran at Zone 3 instead at 125 - 143 bpm.

Para sa mga runners dyan, ano ba dapat gawin? Haha

Sobrang bagal ko. Sobrang layo ko pa. ๐Ÿ˜…
