I’m voting blue because I want accountability—not another round of excuses for Donald Trump.

I want a Congress willing to investigate credible allegations, demand answers, and pursue impeachment and removal if the evidence establishes constitutional grounds. And I want Republican lawmakers who put protecting Trump ahead of their responsibilities replaced at the ballot box.

Holding office should mean serving the public, not shielding a political ally from scrutiny. Party loyalty should never be a substitute for judgment, and winning an election should never put anyone beyond oversight.

If you are tired of watching accountability become a partisan bargaining chip, this election is an opportunity to make your expectations clear.

Ask candidates whether they will defend the Constitution when doing so becomes politically uncomfortable. Ask whether their standards change depending on whose name appears in an investigation.

Then vote for the people whose answers you trust.

A Democratic victory would not automatically remove Trump. But voters can choose a Congress willing to exercise its responsibilities seriously.

I’m voting for oversight, consequences, and leadership that puts the country first.

A petition calling for Elon Musk’s U.S. citizenship to be revoked and for him to be deported to South Africa is real—but the details matter.

Created on Change org in March 2025, it expresses opposition to Musk’s political influence and asks officials to take action against his citizenship. It does not mean the government has approved that demand or issued a deportation order.

The frustration behind it raises a legitimate debate: how much influence should extraordinary private wealth have over public decisions? Americans have every right to question Musk’s political activities, challenge his arguments, and demand scrutiny of potential conflicts of interest.

But citizenship cannot simply be canceled because someone’s politics are unpopular. Denaturalization requires specific legal grounds, such as illegally obtaining citizenship or material deception during that process.

Accountability should apply to billionaires just as it applies to everyone else. So should legal protections.

Do you support this petition’s demand, or do you believe concerns about Musk’s influence should be addressed through investigations, stronger ethics rules, and limits on money in politics?

“We would never violate the sovereignty of any country.”

Marco Rubio’s statement invites an obvious response: how does that promise square with this administration’s record?

During his tenure as secretary of state, the United States carried out the operation that captured Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela, attacked Iran, bombed Houthi targets in Yemen, and struck Iran-aligned militias in Iraq. Washington also imposed an oil blockade on Cuba, while Trump pressed for American control of Greenland.

These actions differ in their circumstances and stated justifications. But listing national security objectives does not make questions about another country’s sovereignty disappear.

Rubio made the remark while discussing cooperation with Portugal. Even in that context, “any country” is a sweeping claim that deserves scrutiny beyond one alliance or one military base.

If respect for sovereignty is a guiding principle, Americans deserve a clear explanation of how that principle applies when Washington wants another government to change course.

Does sovereignty mean the same thing for everyone—or does its meaning change when the United States wants something?

If everything that goes wrong is still somehow Joe Biden’s fault, then Donald Trump is making a pretty devastating argument against himself.

At some point, a president has to own the country he is actually governing.

Trump has repeatedly presented himself as the ultimate problem-solver — the man who could fix the economy, secure the border, end wars, lower prices, restore American strength, and clean up Washington.

So if months into his presidency every major problem is still blamed on Biden, what exactly is Trump admitting?

Either Biden somehow remains powerful enough to control events long after leaving office, or Trump simply has not been capable of delivering the dramatic change he promised.

You cannot take credit for every piece of good news while blaming your predecessor for everything that goes wrong.

Leadership does not work that way.

Presidents inherit problems. Every administration does.

The question is what they actually do about them.

Trump wanted the job. He campaigned on being able to fix everything.

So eventually, “Biden’s fault” stops sounding like an explanation.

It starts sounding like an excuse.

Where should American taxpayers’ money come first—domestic needs or foreign assistance?
