Chinoy Kapuso star Dennis Trillo takes home Best Actor honors at the 8th Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards (The EDDYS) for his role as Dom Zamora in the crime drama Green Bones.

Organized by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd), the EDDYS celebrates outstanding achievements in Philippine cinema, recognizing both commercial blockbusters and independent films.

Green Bones dominated the awards night, winning Best Picture, Best Director for Zig Dulay, Best Cinematography, and Best Actor. It also earned a shared Best Supporting Actor award for Ruru Madrid, who tied with Aga Muhlach for Uninvited.

Dennis Trillo credited director Zig Dulay and the film’s creative team: “These performances wouldn’t have been possible without the direction of a master choreographer and storyteller, Sir Zig Dulay… This is for all of you. Long live Filipino cinema.” He also thanked moviegoers for their continued support and gave a heartfelt mention to his family and partner.

| The Avalokiteśvara Kuan Yin Ma Holy Temple Welfare Charity Foundation of the Philippines held its First Induction Ceremony of Standing Committees, marking a historic milestone on the day of Guanyin Bodhisattva’s enlightenment 🕊️.

The solemn event, held at the Nanhai Buddha Hall in Quezon City, was led by Executive Vice Chairman Gao Wuyang and officiated by Ambassador Francis Chua, with temple leaders, followers, and guests in attendance 🙏.

Chairman Gao emphasized the foundation’s mission of compassion, charity, and community service, while First President Kelly Sia pledged to uphold transparency and unity in driving forward the temple’s vision of kindness and peace 💛.
