PNP SEIZES OVER P15.6 MILLION WORTH OF SHABU, FIREARM IN DAVAO CITY BUY-BUST

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has successfully dismantled a drug distribution attempt following a buy-bust operation in Davao City that led to the arrest of a 22-year-old male alias “BAI,” and the seizure of a substantial volume of suspected shabu and a firearm.

The operation was conducted on the evening of May 14, 2026, in Barangay Bago Gallera, Davao City.

The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 2.3 kilograms of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of PHP 15.64 million, along with a .357 caliber revolver loaded with ammunition. The successful operation prevented the illegal drugs from reaching communities and highlighted the continuing coordination among anti-drug enforcement units in addressing narcotics-related activities.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., lauded the operating units for the swift action, stressing the importance of sustained pressure against illegal drug networks.

“Patuloy ang ating kampanya laban sa illegal drugs. Hindi tayo titigil hangga’t may mga ganitong banta sa ating komunidad. At the same time, we always ensure that our operations are conducted properly and with respect for due process,” PGen Nartatez said.

The operation reflects the PNP’s continuing intelligence-driven campaign against illegal drugs and related criminal activities through sustained law enforcement operations and inter-unit coordination.

The arrested suspect is now under police custody while appropriate charges are being prepared for filing in court.

The PNP emphasized that sustained anti-illegal drug operations remain part of its commitment to public safety and community protection in line with the call for “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”

PULIS NAGPAKITA NG AGARANG PAGTULONG SA MAGKAHIWALAY NA EMERGENCY SA CAMARINES SUR AT CEBU

Muling pinatunayan ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang malasakit at kahandaan sa serbisyo matapos silang agad rumesponde sa dalawang magkahiwalay na insidente na nangangailangan ng agarang tulong-medikal noong Mayo 12, 2026.

Sa unang insidente, mabilis na umaksyon ang mga pulis mula sa isang Police Outpost ng Lapu-lapu City Police Office, Police Station 5, sa pagtulong sa isang indibidwal na hirap huminga matapos humingi ng saklolo ang pamilya nito bandang gabi. Agad na nagbigay ng paunang tulong ang mga rumespondeng pulis habang nakikipag-ugnayan sa emergency medical services upang matiyak na ligtas na maisasailalim sa kaukulang gamutan ang pasyente.

Samantala, sa Camarines Sur, nagbigay rin ng agarang police assistance ang mga tauhan ng 95th Special Action Company, 9th Special Action Battalion sa isang aksidente sa motorsiklo na kinasangkutan ng isang buntis sa Brgy. Tara, Sipocot. Agad nilang tinulungan at siniguro ang maayos na pagdadala sa biktima upang mabigyan ng kinakailangang atensyong medikal.

Ayon kay Chief, PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., mahalaga ang mabilis at makataong pagresponde ng mga pulis lalo na sa mga sitwasyong may banta sa buhay.

“Hindi lang pagpapatupad ng batas ang tungkulin ng ating mga pulis. Mahalaga rin ang pagiging handang tumulong sa oras ng pangangailangan. Sa mga ganitong pagkakataon, ipinapakita natin na ang serbisyo ng PNP ay may malasakit at tunay na nararamdaman ng mamamayan,” ani PGen Nartatez.

Dagdag pa niya, ang pagiging maagap ng mga pulis sa komunidad ay malaking tulong upang mapanatili ang tiwala ng publiko at mapalakas ang ugnayan ng mamamayan at kapulisan.

P9.5-M HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SEIZED IN PAMPANGA; TWO FOREIGN NATIONALS HELD

Two Chinese nationals were arrested in a law enforcement operation conducted in San Simon, Pampanga on May 14, 2026, following the implementation of a search warrant for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 6969 or the Toxic Substances and Hazardous and Nuclear Wastes Control Act of 1990.

Joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), together with local police units and support forces, carried out the operation at a warehouse facility where suspected hazardous and regulated materials were discovered.

Seized during the operation were tire wires, tire ash, whole and cut tires, as well as various industrial equipment and heavy machinery allegedly used in processing activities. The total estimated value of the confiscated items reached approximately PhP9.5 million.

The arrested individuals are now under the custody of CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 for proper documentation and legal proceedings, while the recovered items are secured pending coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau for appropriate handling and disposition.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for the orderly and coordinated implementation of the operation, emphasizing the importance of protecting communities from activities that may pose risks to public safety and the environment.

“Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang ating kampanya laban sa mga ilegal na gawain na maaaring makapinsala sa kalikasan at sa kaligtasan ng mamamayan. Ang ating mensahe ay simple—ang batas ay dapat sundin, at mananatili tayong patas at propesyonal sa pagpapatupad nito,” PGen Nartatez said.

The operation forms part of the continuing efforts of the PNP to strengthen law enforcement and operational effectiveness under the PNP Focused Agenda’s Enhanced Managing Police Operations, in support of the peace and order initiatives of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr..

PNP ARRESTS WANTED SUSPECT IN LARGE-SCALE ILLEGAL RECRUITMENT CASE

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a 61-year-old male wanted for the non-bailable case of Large Scale and Syndicated Illegal Recruitment during an operation conducted on May 14, 2026, in Castillejos, Zambales.

The operation was carried out by the Tracker Team of the Castillejos Municipal Police Station as the lead unit, together with the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Zambales Police Provincial Office. The accused, a businessman and resident of Castillejos, Zambales, was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 309. The arrested individual is presently under the custody of the Castillejos MPS for documentation and proper disposition.

PGEN Nartatez emphasized that illegal recruitment schemes continue to victimize Filipinos seeking better employment opportunities and assured the public that the PNP will relentlessly pursue individuals involved in such crimes.

“Those who exploit the hopes of job seekers for personal gain will be held accountable before the law. The PNP remains steadfast in tracking down wanted persons involved in illegal recruitment and other serious offenses,” said PGEN Nartatez.

“Hindi tayo titigil hangga’t hindi napapanagot ang mga taong nanloloko at nagsasamantala sa ating mga kababayan. Proteksyon ng mamamayan ang ating pangunahing tungkulin,” he added.

The accomplishment reflects the continuing implementation of the PNP Focused Agenda—an operational framework of transformation designed to make police service more responsive and accountable to the Filipino people. Mula sa isang paper bag sa loob ng nakaparadang multicab, isang bagong silang na sanggol ang nabigyan ng panibagong pagkakataon sa buhay matapos agad na rumesponde ang kapulisan sa Tacloban City noong gabi ng Mayo 12, 2026.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., muling ipinakita ng Philippine National Police ang kahalagahan ng mabilis na pag-aksyon at malasakit sa komunidad nang ligtas na marescue ng Police Regional Office 8 (PRO 😎 ang isang inabandonang sanggol sa Sta. Elena, Tacloban City.

Ayon sa ulat, dakong alas-10:32 ng gabi nang makadiskubre ang isang concerned citizen ng sanggol na nakalagay sa loob ng paper bag na iniwan sa isang nakaparadang multicab sa labas ng kanilang bahay. Agad itong ini-report sa mga awtoridad na naging daan upang makarating kaagad sa lugar ang mga miyembro ng City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) at Police Station 3 ng Tacloban City Police Office.

Sa pagdating ng mga pulis, agad nilang siniguro ang kaligtasan ng sanggol at isinagawa ang kinakailangang pagresponde upang mabigyan ito ng agarang atensyon. Kasunod nito, nakipag-ugnayan ang Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) sa City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) at Tacloban Rescue Unit (TACRU) para sa wastong pangangalaga at medikal na pagsusuri sa sanggol.

Batay sa paunang assessment, hindi pa napuputol ang pusod ng sanggol at may bakas pa ng tuyong dugo sa buhok nito, indikasyong ito ay kasisilang pa lamang bago iniwan sa naturang lugar.

Habang nagpapatuloy ang imbestigasyon upang matukoy kung sino ang nag-iwan sa sanggol, tiniyak ng PRO 8 na mananatiling prayoridad ang kaligtasan at kapakanan ng bata habang ito ay nasa pangangalaga ng mga kinauukulang ahensya.

JOINT PNP UNIT EXECUTES OPERATION VS TOP 1 MOST WANTED IN CENTRAL LUZON

The Philippine National Police reports the successful implementation of a joint law enforcement operation that resulted in the death of a Top 1 Most Wanted Person of Police Station 5, Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), following a shooting incident in Barangay Salcedo, San Manuel, Tarlac on May 13, 2026.

The operation was carried out by personnel of Police Station 5, ACPO, in coordination with the City Intelligence Unit, as part of the intensified campaign against wanted persons and individuals involved in violent offenses.

Based on records, the suspect, a resident of Angeles City, Pampanga, was facing warrants of arrest for Homicide and Slight Physical Injury issued by the Regional Trial Court in Angeles City. He was also identified as the primary suspect in a previous shooting incident involving an intelligence operative of the ACPO.

Reports show that during the service of the warrants, the suspect allegedly detected the presence of law enforcement personnel and attempted to evade arrest by fleeing the area and jumping beneath a bridge. When approached by operating personnel, the suspect allegedly fired toward the team, prompting the operating units to respond.

The suspect sustained gunshot wounds and was immediately brought to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead by the attending physician. The incident is subject to standard investigation and documentation procedures.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for their professionalism and restraint under pressure.

“Palagi naming ipinaaalala sa aming mga tauhan na sundin at igalang ang batas sa bawat operasyon. Ngunit kung mapipilitan, they are also trained to respond decisively to protect lives, including their own. Mananatili po ang aming paninindigan: walang ligtas sa mga patuloy na umiiwas sa batas,” he said.

The PNP assures the public that all police operations remain guided by legality, accountability, and respect for human rights. “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman” continues to guide the organization’s efforts in delivering safer communities across the country.
