As of 8:00 PM today, 04 June 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 06a) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a "HIGH" chance of development into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from PAGASA-DOST.

Based on the weather observations and analyses, occasional to frequent rains associated with the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) have been observed over the past five days. This signifies the onset of the rainy season across the western sections of Luzon and the Visayas.

However, monsoon breaks may still occur and last for several days or weeks.
