I never thought I’d see this day—our Tatay Digong, who dedicated his life to serving the Filipino people, now detained in The Hague. It truly breaks my heart.

This is the man who fearlessly led our country, who took action when others only made promises. He didn’t just sit in an air-conditioned office—he walked the streets, stood with the masses, and made decisions that prioritized the safety and well-being of Filipinos. During the pandemic, he ensured that we had vaccines, aid, and order amidst the chaos. He protected our country from the threats of drugs and crime, yet now, he is the one being accused of crimes.

Yes, he was tough. Yes, he made enemies. But let’s be real—wasn’t he exactly the kind of leader we needed? Those who hated him never truly understood why the people loved him. They focus on the accusations, but they refuse to see the lives he changed, the communities he protected, and the progress we achieved under his leadership.

What’s happening to him now is unfair. It hurts to see the very government he once led turn its back on him. After everything he has done, this is how he is repaid? He didn’t force respect—he earned it through action, and no court can erase the love and admiration the Filipino people have for him.

Stay strong, Tatay Digong. No matter what they say, history will remember you for what you truly are—a leader who fought for his people. 💚
