"Cyberbullying doesn't stay 'cyber'. It bleeds into reality, and sometimes, it's fatal."

People find so much little peace anywhere nowadays. In a place like the mall, school, café, or even in someone's own home. All this peace is taken away by social media. Hate trains, bashing, clouts — it is all factors. As far as social media reaches, chaos follows. What an unfortunate thing for anyone experiencing this? What's more concerning is that it does not happen by itself — the world does not make it happen; the people do.

Every light within a person's heart is slowly killed by social media. People just hop on, not even doing some simple research. Just because they personally don't like a person? That is unfair. We never truly know what's going on inside a person's life. They might be struggling — yet people seem to invalidate that fact.

No one should be treated the way these poor souls do, we are all human. Social media is a platform, not an ex*****on chamber. Stop weaponizing words. What do these people get by hating? It's like their full time job with absolutely no benefit. Hate can consume a life, but it can never build one. That's its ultimate, self-defeating limitation.

By the time their actions ask for accountability — they disappear. Either disguising themselves with grief or leaving it to pass by time. They become pathetic looking by their lack of empathy. It was never the intention, but the action pushed it.

It does not take half your life to be kind. However, it can add life to some. The world is already too vicious for others and we're not even aware of it. Stop normalizing hate towards people for inadequate justifications and personal dislikes. Being behind a screen while ruining someone's mental health does not make these "blinded by hate" people safe and somehow innocent — it makes them a coward. For both hiding behind a barrier made by social media and for choosing to join a hate train instead of helping to prevent it.

Face the truth, at the end of the day we are all just trying to get by. Some are just lucky enough to have strong support systems. While others are left alone and pressed by the public — by these ruthless people. However, that can change. People can make a difference. Stop creating hate as well as promoting them.

These people are no different than a thief for stealing someone's peace. Have shame — be conscious. All of us have different stories. We all write our own blurbs with our appearance, but the narrative of our life is only revealed by reading time. May everyone open their eyes and fill their hearts with empathy. We should be saving souls; not disguising as grim reapers.

After a two-year hiatus, the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) students of Dulag National High School donned their costumes as the 2025 HUMSS Day Celebration officially opened today at the DNHS grounds.

This year’s festivities bring together the strand’s various sections, grouped into four houses — House Concordia, House Reges, House Aequitas, and House Ignis — each determined to claim the championship crown.

Organizing Committee Chairperson Florin Jane Reataza opened the ceremony with a welcome message, followed by the statement of purpose delivered by Maria Arianne Lagbas, HUMSS Circle President.

The program continues with more activities, including the Cheer Dance Competition in the morning and the Search for Mr. and Ms. HUMSS in the afternoon.
