"Ang hirap naman ng Notion nayan! Pede naman google drive and excel nalang!"
If you’re a social media manager and you’re giving up on learning how to use Notion, this post is for you.
Gian here! And I just want to share with you all about my personal experience with a recent client that I booked with the help of Notion!
So there was this one client na I managed to book after offering a 2-week trial period as a probono package.
During this time, they ask me what tool I use to organize my work, like san daw ako pede mag send ng update? How can they know na nag wo-work ba talaga ako?
Because the first thing I told them talaga before starting is I don’t like using any timetracker. I work with trust and I can give my best if you trust me.
That’s where I ask them, “Hello x, just want to ask if you’re using Notion? I personally use that to organize my work.”
They replied “Ah yes, I know Notion, but it’s advanced for me, and I don’t know how to use it, that’s why I store everything in my Google Excel and Google Drive”
At first very hesitant akong i-suggest kase for me, parang negats na meaning nun. But I still tried to offer Notion and said this instead “Oh I see. How about I create a personal dashboard for you and send you a video recording on how navigate it? In this case, you won’t have a bad time guessing how to use it.”
And guess what kung anong sinabe nila? “Really gian? That sounds amazing! I really want to learn Notion but no one has the time to teach me.”
Fast forward, I made them a personalized dashboard and sent them what I promised, a video-recorded tutorial on how to navigate Notion.
They were impressed by my skills and because of that, they trust me already that I will do well with my job. Not only in organizing but na less ang pressure saakin kase whenever I’ll ask for their approval with our content, laging “mark as approved” agad agad 🥹 💙
I know having to learn a lot of project management tools outside Notion will always be okay! I’m not saying na using google spreadsheet or excel as your content calendar list is a downgrade or will lower your value.
What I’m saying is, in my experience, it gave me an advantage and instantly kong na earn ang trust ni client kase they saw how professional I am with that + I answered one of their problem! Which is how to learn Notion.
If you’re still struggling to learn a new tool like Notion, always remember that everyone started just like what you’re experiencing right now. I know it’s hard pero I’m telling you na sobrang worth it nya! + Having an organized system is the key to managing multiple clients!
