1. Waking up before sunrise.
2. Having only a few friends who enjoy waking up early to rides or run.
3. Dealing with a lot of stress in the days leading up to a race.
4. Almost no one will understand your passion.
5. Few parties and no staying out late.
6. You will often feel very exhausted.
7. People will question your sanity.
8. You’ll have to motivate yourself when no one else does.
9. Your social life will start when others are just getting home to sleep.
10. Your conversations will revolve around races, long rides, bikes or running shoes… and they will find it boring.
11. They’ll call you crazy.
12. They’ll say your social life is dull.
But in the end, it will all be worth it, because this is a LIFESTYLE not everyone is willing to embrace. Your first friend must be DISCIPLINE, and your second friend, CONSISTENCY—friends that few people are willing to keep around these days.
