On August 15, 2025 from 0800H - 1700H, CIT freshmen gathered at NORSU Main Campus 1 for their second day of ROTC orientation. From claiming their loadslips to knowing their ROTC unit designations. With every step, we choose service, discipline, and unity, building the foundation of future leaders. This day marks not just an orientation, but the start of a journey that will shape their character and commitment to serve.

This was intended not only to show each student’s enrolled subjects, class schedule, and other enrollment details, but also to serve as an important step in determining their assigned ROTC unit, marking the beginning of their journey in service, discipline, and unity.

ALL CADETS ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO STRICTLY OBSERVE AND COMPLY WITH THE PRESCRIBED BASIC CADET UNIFORM STANDARDS ON EVERY TRAINING DAY.

FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES FOR THE BASIC CADET UNIFORM:

• PROPER HAIRCUT FOR MALE (5X6)
• SHAVED BEARD/MUSTACHE
• COLORED HAIR IS NOT ALLOWED
• ACCESSORIES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED
• TRIMMED NAILS
• NM AROTC BALLCAP
• NM AROTC SWEATSHIRT (MUST BE TUCKED IN, WEAR SANDO FOR FEMALE CADETS)
• HUKBONG KATIHAN BELT
• WHITE HANDKERCHIEF (MUST BE IN THE LEFT POCKET OF THE JEANS)
• WHITE GLOVES ( ONLY FOR PRESENTATION OF SPONSORS AND RAATI)
• BLACK JEANS (BAGGY, RIPPED, AND SQUARE PANTS ARE NOT ALLOWED)
• BLACK SOCKS (FOOT SOCKS ARE NOT ALLOWED)

ADDITIONALLY, THE ROTC UNIT RECOGNIZES AND RESPECTS THE GENDER IDENTITY AND EXPRESSION OF OUR CADETS. LGBTQ+ CADETS WHO PREFER TO KEEP THEIR HAIR LONG ARE PERMITTED TO DO SO, PROVIDED THAT IT IS KEPT NEAT, CLEAN, AND PROPERLY SECURED DURING TRAINING.

‼️Please be informed that on August 14 and 15, as stated in the previous announcement, there will be an Orientation at NORSU MAIN CAMPUS 1 during the claiming of your load slip.

If you have any questions or concerns, you may proceed to the venue during these dates so you can be properly accommodated.

You may use ANY BELT DURING THE ORIENTATION if you do not yet have the Hukbong Katihan belt. However, DURING REGISTRATION/ ENROLLMENT, the Hukbong Katihan belt is required for all.
