Q: What application can we draw from the character of Timothy that Paul observed in verse 21?
A: A minister of the gospel should not serve primarily for money, recognition, popularity, or personal gain, but should serve with a sincere desire to honor Christ and care for God's people. Our ministry should be about Christ and the people He has entrusted to us--not about ourselves.
Q: Why could Paul vouch for Timothy's character?
A: Paul likened Timothy to his son--his spiritual son, that is. During the time they labored together, Paul saw Timothy's heart and his faithful service to the gospel. Timothy was Paul's spiritual son, disciple, and co-worker--something like an "OJT" in a modern sense, but much more than simply a trainee.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

A car rental in Dumaguete would have been victimized through a RENT TANGAY scheme.

Fortunately, for car rental owner Maritel of Piapi, her black Toyota Innova 2025 model is now in the custody of the HPG for macro etching examination after it was recovered from the person who bought it through an online platform at P610,000 cash.
She did not make the complaint because as of yesterday, the rent was still valid. Maritel bought the car at P1.37 million more or less.

The buyer, a certain Markus, 30 years old, married of Negros Occidental sought police assistance when he found out something is off with the papers, while another vehicle, a Toyota Veloz was offered to him for sale at a meager price of P400,000 by the same individuals.

Payment for the sale of the black Innova was made inside Chowking at Robs in Dumaguete, Wednesday Sept. 16, 2026.

The suspects may have been alarmed because the victim called for police assistance and in seconds the TMRU arrived. According to the police, it would have been good to continue with the negotiation for the second vehicle while secretly informing the police or the HPG for an entrapment procedure.

Markus said the black Innova was voluntarily surrendered to the HPG.

A high value individual yielded more or less 25 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P170,000 following the buy bust operation conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit with team leader PCapt Leo Arugay Jr under the direct supervision of the Chief of Police LtCol Don Richmon Conag, ooa 7:54 o’clock last night in Purok 4-B, Barangay Batinguel, Dumaguete.
Recovered from the suspect Jester Salinas aka Jan2x, 42, single, resident of Amihan, Batinguel are 5 medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets believed to contain shabu.
Inventory was witnessed by Batinguel Kag. Moronihea Cabrera and choyrg of BKN.

Ordinary citizen raised a concern on the whereabouts of illegal drugs confiscated during buy-busts, raids, search warrants.

The PNP explained these are evidences that are under the safe of the respective courts and can only be dispensed with through a public destruction when the cases are decided by the courts.

The public destruction is managed by PDEA alongside with the Dangerous Drugs Board to ensure transparency and prevent evidence recycling.

The destruction happens only after a court order, the methods of which included, either thru thermal decomposition, incineration, or cremation at accredited facilities such aa memorial chapels orcwaste management centers in front of the judiciary, DoJ officials, media and civil society groups.

DOE Visayas Field Office Dir. Reynante M. Sevilla (on zoom) was asked by the presiding officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan what sanctions are undertaken to power generation plants who failed to comply with the generation requirement of their clients, that has affected the entire Visayas Grid, in last tuesday’s regular session.

DOE responds in saying these bogged down power generation plants were issued showcause orders.
