📸 Sinundan ito ng sesyon para sa Photographers at Editors mula 5:00 PM hanggang 5:45 PM, kung saan ipinakilala ang kanilang mga malikhaing at teknikal na gampanin—naghahanda para sa isang taon ng pagtutulungan at kahusayan.

🌙 Sa ilalim ng buwang naglalakbay, ang wikang nagliliyab sa damdamin ng bawat Pilipino ay tinig na isinasayaw ng hangin upang makamtan ang adhika ng kapayapaan. Kahit sa bawat hampas ng alon na nagdadala ng sigwa at bawat unos na nagiging sanhi ng di pagkakaunawaan, ang wika ay nagiging gabay upang muling masilayan ang mga bituin ng pagkakaisa.

💚 Sa puso ng mga mamamayan naninirahan ang tunay na pagmamahalan, at ang wika ay tulay upang makaboses ang bawat isa kaya’t pahalagahan natin ang diwa ng ating pananalita, sapagkat ito’y isa sa mga yaman na nagbubunyag na tayo ay Pilipino.

‘𝐀 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫’: 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐬, 𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐍𝐇𝐒

DUMAGUETE CITY — It was a day of cheers, smiles, and hopeful conversations as Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara set foot at Dumaguete City National High School on Saturday, bringing with him much-needed digital tools for learners and teachers.

The school grounds buzzed with excitement as Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Edmark Ian L. Cabio and Dr. Claudio A. Sun, Jr., Principal III personally welcomed the Secretary, alongside teachers, students, and community stakeholders.

One of the high points of the visit was the turnover of 5 brand-new laptops and 10 tablets under the ConnectED Tech for All program by Her Legacy Foundation — a timely boost for the school’s push toward technology-enhanced learning.

“These laptops and tablets are not just gadgets,” Angara said. “They are tools that will help you explore, create, and connect to the wider world. We want to make sure every learner has the opportunity to succeed, whether inside the classroom or beyond it.”

Angara also toured the school’s output display from six special programs — Special Program in the Arts (SPA), Special Program in Science (SPS), Special Program in Foreign Language (SPFL-Korean), Special Program in Journalism (SPJ), Open HighnSchool Program (OHSP), and Special Education (SPED).

The TechVoc/TechPro Skills Display was another highlight, featuring hands-on demonstrations in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Automotive and Driving, Bakery Productions, Computer Systems Servicing (CSS), Contact Center Services (CCS), Food and Beverage Services, Food Processing, and cutting-edge 3D Printing. Students proudly explained their work, underscoring how these skills open pathways to future careers.

“Seeing your creativity and skills in action inspires me,” the Secretary told the students. “Continue to dream big, work hard, and know that the Department is behind you every step of the way.”

In a brief “kamustahan” with teachers, Angara assured them that their needs and insights matter in shaping policies. “We are here to listen. The best ideas often come from the ground, from teachers who know their students best,” he said.

Also present during the visit were Undersecretary Atty. Peter Irving C. Corvera (Undersecretary for Senior Personnel Oversight & Head of the Procuring Entity), Trygve L. Olaivar (Undersecretary for Government Relations), Dumaguete City Mayor Manuel T. Sagarbarria, Congresswoman Maisa L. Sagarbarria, OIC-ASDS Juditha Mapue, SGOD Chief Antonieta P. Vendiola, OIC-CID Chief Joesan M. Ramos, and PTA Officials headed by Adrian B. Suela III.

📣 The DCNHS Media Club will hold its 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘 (𝐆𝐀) of all active members this school year on Monday, August 4, at 5:00 PM at the DCNHS Media Club Headquarters.

🏛️ During the assembly, the club will formally welcome 𝟮𝟳 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀, selected during the recently concluded club recruitment last July, through an official oath-taking ceremony. With their addition, the club will reach its largest membership since its founding with a total of 𝟭𝟭𝟲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀!

🇵🇭 The assembly will also serve as a preparation for the deployment of members for upcoming activities in celebration of and the 58th Founding Anniversary of DCNHS ( ), both happening throughout the month of August.
