Did you know that Mount Everest isn't the tallest mountain on Earth? đŸ˜±
While Everest has the highest elevation above sea level (8,848.86 meters / 29,031.7 feet), it's not the tallest if you measure from base to summit.

Here’s why:

1. Mauna Kea, Hawaii

Height from base (ocean floor) to summit: ~10,210 meters (33,500 feet)

Above sea level: Only 4,207 meters (13,803 feet)

Most of it is underwater, but by total height, it's the tallest mountain on Earth.

2. Chimborazo, Ecuador

Elevation above sea level: 6,263 meters (20,548 feet)

Due to Earth's equatorial bulge, Chimborazo's summit is the farthest point from Earth’s center—even farther than Everest.

Did you know that The Sun makes a sound but we can't hear it? đŸ˜±
The Sun does produce sound, but space is a vacuum, which means there’s no air or material to carry sound waves like here on Earth. So, we can’t hear it with our ears.

What’s wild is that scientists have actually “heard” the Sun using data from instruments that detect vibrations and oscillations on its surface—kind of like seismic waves on Earth. These waves travel through the Sun and can be converted into sounds we can hear using special instruments. It ends up sounding like a deep, pulsing hum.

Did you know that The world’s oldest cat lived to 38 years and three days old? đŸ˜±
That would be Creme Puff, the legendary cat from Austin, Texas. She was born on August 3, 1967, and lived until August 6, 2005—an incredible 38 years and 3 days. That’s more than double the average cat lifespan! Her owner, Jake Perry, also had another cat, Granpa Rexs Allen, who lived to 34. Pretty wild, right?

Apparently, he fed them a super unusual diet, including things like eggs, asparagus, and even a bit of red wine. Definitely not vet-approved today, but something worked!

Did you know that A chicken once lived for 18 months without a head? đŸ€”
The story of Mike the Headless Chicken is one of the strangest (and oddly true) animal tales out there. In 1945, a farmer named Lloyd Olsen from Colorado tried to behead a chicken for dinner, but somehow missed the jugular vein and left part of the brain stem intact. Mike didn’t die — instead, he stood up and started walking around like nothing happened.

Because the brain stem controls many basic functions like breathing and heartbeat, Mike managed to survive. The farmer fed him with an eyedropper and even took him on tour. Mike lived for 18 months before choking on a kernel of corn.

Did you know that A cloud weighs around a million tonnes? đŸ€”
A typical cumulus cloud can weigh around 500,000 to 1 million tonnes—mostly from the water droplets suspended in it. It seems impossible because they float so effortlessly, but the droplets are spread out over such a massive volume and held up by rising air currents, so they stay suspended. Nature’s got some serious tricks.

Did you know that Water might not be wet? đŸ€”
This is because most scientists define wetness as a liquid’s ability to maintain contact with a solid surface, meaning that water itself is not wet, but can make other objects wet.

Did you know that Animals can experience time differently from humans?
To smaller animals, the world around them moves more slowly compared to humans. Salamanders and lizards, for example, experience time more slowly than cats and dogs. This is because the perception of time depends on how quickly the brain can process incoming information.
