๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ | DUMINGAG CAMPUS PHELEMET 2026, KICKS OFF | PART IIPART II
DUMINGAG, CARIDADโ The Josefina H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Dumingag Campus officially opened its Palaro 2026 today, August 24, with the theme โPamagap, Ghepesalabuk, Padayunโ, bringing students together for athletic and socio-cultural activities under the leadership of College President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales and Campus Director Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin.
The opening program began with a Welcome Address delivered by Dr. Tangalin, followed by the Statement of Purpose from Sports Director Dr. Buena D. Calunsag and Hon. Vice Mayor Edgar Jamero also expressed his support for the campus celebration as the acting representative of Mayor Gerry T. Paglinawan.
JHCSC Hornets tennis players Al Dree B. Pan and Rj Krystian L. Cagatan led the Lighting of the Urn, marking the formal start of the athletic festivities. The Hoisting of Banners was led by Dr. Tangalin, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Development and Extension Dr. Mark E. Patalinghug, and Office of Student Affairs and Services Dean Prof. Venus M. Avenido.
Meanwhile, keynote speaker and JHCSC Socio-Cultural Director Dr. Jeremias N. Perez reminded the participants that the value of the event extends beyond competition, emphasizing the importance of the experiences gained throughout the celebration. The opening program continued with the Athletic Oath of Amateurism led by Mr. Marlou S. Agbona and the Officialsโ Oath administered by Sports-In-Charge Mr. Steven J. Tres Reyes.
The program concluded with Rosales formally declaring PHELEMET 2026 open, signaling the start of the campus-wide competition.
