A Lesson We Can Learn from the Unfortunate Incident at the Samgyupsalan‼️

On the evening of March 12, a seemingly joyous occasion at a samgyupsalan (Korean barbecue restaurant) in Brgy. Carangalaan, Dagupan City, suddenly turned into a frightening and tragic moment. A group of students, happily singing "Happy Birthday," were enjoying their time, unaware that an unexpected disaster was about to unfold. A butane stove exploded, sending a terrifying burst of fire throughout the dining area.

In an instant, laughter turned into panic as flames engulfed the table, and the lives of 13 to 15 individuals were disrupted. Reports indicate that these individuals sustained injuries, and some continue to receive medical attention. This unfortunate event, which quickly went viral, serves as a stark reminder of the importance of safety in the places we visit, especially in restaurants.

This incident teaches us several crucial lessons. First, safety must always be a top priority, both for restaurant owners and customers. It's essential for restaurants to maintain and supervise equipment to prevent accidents. Second, we must acknowledge the unpredictability of accidents, staying vigilant and prepared for the unexpected. Third, empathy and responsibility are key—businesses must be accountable for their customers’ well-being, while we, as a community, should support each other during crises. Finally, this event should motivate both restaurant owners and patrons to take proactive steps toward ensuring safety, whether through better staff training, equipment checks, or simply being more aware of our surroundings.

Burnout hits different kapag nasa adulting stage ka na.

Parang biglang sabay-sabay dumadating lahat. Work na di mo pwedeng bitawan, family na ayaw mong ma-disappoint, future na parang lagi mong kailangang habulin. Pero sa gitna ng lahat ng bigat, minsan kailangan mo ring huminto saglit. Hindi naman kailangan laging malakas. Minsan sapat na yung umaabot ka sa bawat araw kahit mabigat. Sapat na yung hindi ka sumusuko kahit gusto mo na.

Adulting is tough, pero hindi mo yan nilalakad mag-isa. Quiet battles mo, valid. Quiet progress mo, enough. At kahit hindi mo ramdam ngayon, slowly, gumagaan din ang dinadala.
