𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐔𝐆𝐀𝐍, 𝐊𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐍 𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍! ✊

The CPH class of 2025 concluded their recognition program with a lightning rally led by outgoing CPH SC Chairperson Raymond Lista, calling for accessible and quality health services for all.

They highlighted the persistent high out-of-pocket spending despite the promises of universal healthcare, as well as the budget cuts faced by UP-PGH. They emphasized the importance of proper health policies and promotion, and raised concerns on the shortage of health workers due to low salaries and lack of benefits. The rally also included criticisms of the Marcos-Duterte administration that is oppressive to the masses.

CPH Class of 2025 called on fellow scholars to be brave and use the learnings of public health to serve the nation and become a catalyst for true change.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒, 𝐂𝐏𝐇 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓!🌻

On July 21, the College of Public Health held its recognition ceremony at the Cine Adarna Theater, UP Film Institute in UP Diliman, with the theme “Paninindigan at Paglingap: Saligan ng Kahapon, Gabay ng Kasalukuyan, Tanglaw sa Hinaharap ng Pampublikong Kalusugan.”

A total of 127 candidates for graduation were honored from the following programs: 72 from the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH), 5 from the Master of Arts in Health Policy Studies (MAHPS), 16 from the Master of Hospital Administration (MHA), 5 from the Master of Occupational Health (MOH), 22 from the Master of Public Health (MPH), 6 from the Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), and 1 from the Doctor of Public Health program.

Among the BSPH graduates, 35 were awarded Cum Laude, 28 received Magna Cum Laude, and 1 achieved the distinction of Summa Cum Laude. In addition, Raymond Louis Lista was given the Leadership Award.

Aronne Joy Madrangca, BSPH’s lone summa cm laude, and Jannette Awisan, the sole graduate of Doctor of Public Health, delivered speeches highlighting the struggles of the course, which tested their grit, determination, and sense of purpose.

Dr. Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial, Executive director of the Philippines Tuberculosis Society and Former Secretary of Health, gave an inspirational message during the ceremony.

PAGASA raised an orange rainfall warning over Metro Manila as of 11:00 A.M. today, Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Heavy rains are expected to continue, and flooding remains a threat in low-lying areas.

PAGASA is also monitoring 3 Low Pressure Areas (LPAs), one of which has a high chance of intensifying into a tropical depression.

Residents and commuters are advised to take necessary precautions.
