Ang Pride ay hindi lang selebrasyon na ginaganap tuwing buwan ng Hunyo—ito ay mananatiling porma ng protesta, paninindigan, at patuloy na laban para sa karapatang pantao ng bawat Pilipino. Sa bawat likod ng mga makukulay na bandila at masisiglang parada sa iba’t ibang kalsada ng Pilipinas, nakapaloob dito ang kasaysayan ng paglaban ng mga patuloy na tinatanggihan, pinapatahimik, at isinasantabi ng lipunan na kanilang sinasaklawan.

Ang bawat kulay sa watawat ay bumoboses sa tapang, pag-asa, at pagkakaisa ng bawat miyembro ng LGBTQIA+ community. Ito ang nagsisilbing paraan nila upang ipagmalaki ang sarili—sapagkat ang pagiging totoo ay isang rebolusyon. Higit sa lahat, ito ay nagsisilbing paraan din para ang ipaglaban ang iba—dahil ang tunay na kabuluhan ng Pride ay hindi nagtatapos sa sariling kalayaan, kundi sa pagkamit ng hustisya para sa nakararami.

Nawa’y tandaan natin na ang pagsulong sa mga karapatan ng LGBTQIA+ community ay pagsulong rin sa karapatan ng bawat sektor ng lipunan. Ang tunay na paglaya ng sambayanan ay ang paglaya ng lahat ng kulay at uri.

Isang Maligayang Pride sa ating lahat! 🌈✨
