Senior High School Summit & Career Expo 2025 Shares Paths for Successful Tomorrows

Building Bridges to Learner's Empowerment and Brighter Career Opportunities

The Senior High School Summit & Career Expo 2025 successfully took place from November 26–27, 2025 at the Big Square Coliseum in Escalante City, highlighting the theme “Building Bridges to Learner's Empowerment and Brighter Career Opportunities.” The two-day event was attended by senior high school students from across Escalante City, including Grade 12 students of Mabini National High School, who explored academic and career opportunities for their future.

Day 1 began with the opening program, which included a prayer, the singing of the national anthem, the Escalante Hymn, and the Negros Island Hymn. A welcome message from DepEd officials in Escalante encouraged students to plan for the future and make informed career decisions. In the afternoon, the event continued with the booth contest, featuring 14 booths presented by student representatives from participating schools. Each booth showcased creativity, innovation, and teamwork while providing informative displays for attendees.

Day 2 started in the morning with a talk show and keynote speaker, offering students insights on career preparation, personal development, and academic planning. In the afternoon, representatives from St. La Salle Bacolod, UNO-R, and Mt. Carmel Escalante shared informative talks about the opportunities and programs offered by their institutions. The summit concluded with the awarding ceremonies for each contest, recognizing the creativity, effort, and excellence of participating students. Among the recognitions was Mabini National High School which earned the title of the 2nd overall champion in the booth competition.

The Senior High School Summit & Career Expo 2025 successfully served as a platform for learning, interaction, and exploration, helping students build connections, discover pathways, and prepare for brighter career opportunities and future success. ⭐

Mabini National High School United Nations Day 2025

Fostering Global Solidarity: Empowering Youth for Peace & Sustainability 🕊️

This day, October 15, 2025, Mabinians proudly celebrated United Nations Day 2025 with the theme, "Fostering Global Solidarity: Empowering Youth for Peace & Sustainability". The event started with the preliminaries, and was emphasized by uplifting welcome remarks given by Sir Rey C. Batobalonos, AP Coordinator, and an entertaining UN trivia hosted by Ma'am Hestia Pearl B. Lopez.

Students shared their skills and talents in global consciousness through different types of contest including Poster Making, Flag Mosaic, Photojournalism, and Child's Right Quiz Bee which highlighted the spirit of culture, peace, and sustainability.

Mabini National High School campus was in a vibrant affair and high spirit as it hosted the Cluster 3 Meet on this day, September 24, 2025, until tomorrow, marking the two-day event of athletic distinction, not only highlighting the skills but also nurturing companionship, discipline, and excellence, resonating with the theme, “Sports as a Bridge to Camarderie, Discipline, and Excellence.” The Cluster 3 Meet was participated in by four schools, including Mabini NHS, Libertad NHS, Paitan Integrated School, and Pinapugasan NHS. 🩵✨

𝐌𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐏.𝐄. 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Physical Education (P.E.) and Performance Task Day of Mabini National High School was successfully held on April 4, 2025, with a theme "𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚝𝚑𝚢 𝙼𝚒𝚗𝚍, 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚝𝚑𝚢 𝙱𝚘𝚍𝚢: 𝙺𝚎𝚎𝚙 𝙼𝚘𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙵𝚘𝚛𝚠𝚊𝚛𝚍", a vibrant celebration featuring various activities participated in by students from Grades 7 to 12. The event showcased simultaneous performances and competitions around the school campus.

Grade 9 students opened the day with energetic Zumba bringing energy to the field. Their performances emphasized physical fitness, rhythm, and coordination. The crowd also enjoyed a variety of intermission numbers featuring the school's student dancers, Grade 10 singers and the STEM Band. Meanwhile, Grade 10 students wowed the audience with their highly anticipated cheerdance presentations. With synchronized moves, powerful chants, and dazzling stunts, they filled the campus with school pride and spirit.

Grade 7 students presented their international dances with impressive display of grace and cultural appreciation, Grade 7 Sampaguita was announced as the champion. Grade 7 Dahlia took 2nd place, followed by Grade 7 Rose in 3rd place. Meanwhile, the 1st runner-up was Grade 7 Waling-waling, the 2nd runner-up was Grade 7 Tulip, and the 3rd runner-up was Grade 7 Orchid. Grade 8 students continued the celebration with traditional Filipino folk dances, adding a cultural touch to the day. Each section performed a different dance: Grade 8 Acacia showcased Cariñosa, 8-Kamagong presented Binislakan and was declared the champion, 8-Anonang performed Tiklos, 8-Molave presented Sua Ku Sua, and 8-Narra danced Itik-Itik.

In the senior high department, the Grade 11 students took part in their Personal Development culmination program. The event included a glamorous runway show, a graceful waltz ballroom dance, and the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Personal Development 2025. Jay-R Gisim from Grade 11 HUMSS was awarded the title of Mr. Personal Development 2025, while Zyne Grace Ticar from Grade 11 STEM was crowned Ms. Personal Development 2025. The male runners-up were Neil Villaran (1st runner-up, ABM 11), Marc Bana-ay (2nd runner-up, ABM 11), Marc Zenith Deni-ay (3rd runner-up, STEM 11), and Rod Ally Sardido (4th runner-up, SMAW 11). For the female category, Aubrey Sophia Yanson (STEM 11) was the 1st runner-up, and Iramae Ponce (HUMSS 11) was the 2nd runner-up.

While, Grade 12 STEM students organized an exciting and challenging Amazing Race. Students from various strands competed in physical and mental tasks, but it was "Group G" who got the victory. The winning team was composed of Aya Lucero, April Joy Lestones, Karen Villaran, Veronica Cañete, Vencent Lape, Nathaniel Gamao, Celito Denosta, Rodel Sabillo, Dionilo Vergoles, Edmar Trasmil, Jemar Morong, Maryjen Sebelleta, Airen Talita, Ashley Caraat, Miriam Dela Rama, Charm Dela Cruz, and Anthony Francis Jaro. The paint party was also enjoyed by the students.

Overall, P.E. Day 2025 was more than just a celebration of physical fitness, it was a vibrant expression of Mabinians' talent, determination, and unity. Truly, Mabinians conquered the day!

𝐌𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐒 𝐃𝐀𝐘

On March 14, 2025, Mabini National High School participated in the event Mathagisan, a thrilling battle of brains where numbers reigned supreme. The excitement was palpable as talented participants and math enthusiasts showed incredible problem-solving skills.

A special thank you goes to the Mathematics Coordinator Sir John B. Mala-ay and the mathematics teachers for their invaluable support and encouragement of our participants. Their dedication helped make this event a remarkable success.

We, the Mabinians are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated, making Mathagisan such a good experience. Congratulations to all contestants! Special recognition goes to our 16 secondary participants who excelled in the competition:
