𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝟱𝟰 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗦𝗣𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

After many weeks surrounded by written articles and catchy headlines, the 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 and 𝘼𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙮 (𝙈𝙖𝙣𝘿𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙮) 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨 𝙟𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨 secured several awards during the awarding and closing ceremony of the 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙨 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 held at Mandaluyong High School (MHS), last Nov. 28.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢 | 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗘𝗖-𝗖𝗦𝗔𝗘𝗠 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁𝘂 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁

Mandaluyong High School (MHS) representative secured 2nd place at the Impromptu Speech competition with the theme, "𝙊𝙎𝘼𝙀𝘾-𝘾𝙎𝘼𝙀𝙈 𝙒𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣: 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙖, 𝙄𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣!” competition held at the Mandaluyong City Hall, last Nov. 24.

𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤, representing MHS, delivered a strong speech that impressed the judges and earned him the award. His trainer, 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙖 𝙎𝙖𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙙𝙧𝙖, guided the participant throughout theu preparation, highlighting the combined effort and dedication of both student and coach.

The event, focused on extemporaneous speaking, challenged participants to think quickly and deliver speeches confidently under pressure.

This achievement reflects MHS’s 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨’ 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨.

Competing alongside chosen contestants from each category, the Mandaluyong High School Araling Panlipunan (AP) Department won many wards in the 𝘼𝙋 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 held at Jose Rizal University (JRU), yesterday.

The Batang Bayans, across their respective categories, not only showcased impressive talent and skill but also demonstrated remarkable intelligence, as evidenced by their success in securing multiple awards and recognitions at the competition.

Due to the yellow rainfall warning from Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the Mandaluyong City Public Information Office announced the suspension of 𝗜𝗡-𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 from 𝗣𝗥𝗘-𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗘 𝟭𝟮 (𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗟𝗦), today.

Instead, schools are encouraged to implement alternative modes of learning such as modular and asynchronous classes.
