In the soft light of Tokyo’s JP Tower Museum INTERMEDIATHEQUE, Faces and Flora finds its rhythm. Here, photographer Jan Zoilo Rafael Mayo ( mayo) offers a tender study of native Philippine and Japanese flora, woven not just into the frame but into the quiet poise of his human subjects. The result is a body of work that reads like memory: intimate, precise, and steeped in reverence for heritage.

Presented in collaboration with the University of Tokyo and the National Museum of the Philippines, the exhibition is less a showcase than an invitation to see what blooms when culture and ecology are held in balance.

At the Centre Pompidou, Wolfgang Tillmans reimagines what an exhibition can be. Expansive yet intimate, his latest project transforms the library’s architecture into both canvas and collaborator.

Spanning nearly 40 years of work, the show offers a bold meditation on how we archive, question, and shape reality. In partnership with CELINE, Accès Libre invites the public to experience this rare exhibition for free on select dates before the museum’s transformation.

Our Story

Since 2008, Art+ Magazine has been the only magazine in the country dedicated to covering the Philippine art community. A bi-monthly that started out being the only resource for Philippine visual art news, Art+ has branched off to feature culture and cover the other disciplines of art such as music, film, dance, theater, architecture and design, the culinary scene, as well as all areas of luxury and fine living. While we continue to spread the word in our online edition as well as our social media platforms, our print edition is found for sale or free browsing in National Bookstore, Fully Booked, museum shops, art galleries, all Starbucks branches nationwide, premier country clubs, luxury hotels and resorts, and VIP lounges of international airlines. Every issue of Art+ is a coffee-table book quality chronicle of Philippine art news and is not easily discarded but instead kept as valuable reference material. Among our subscribers are over 50 leading embassies, top executives and businessmen from leading corporations, and influential public figures. Art+ is exported and distributed for free at the art fairs we partner with worldwide. In 2017, we count so far 27 confirmed such partnerships in all, in 27 different cities in North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle East.
