There was a time when I cared too much, gave too much, and tolerated more than I should have. What I didn't realize was that some people would eventually mistake my kindness for entitlement and my silence for weakness.
Today, I no longer feel the need to explain my intentions, defend my character, or correct every misunderstanding.
I'll choose silence—not because I have nothing to say, but because I've learned that peace is more valuable than proving a point.
Not every loss is mine to carry. Sometimes, people lose access to someone who genuinely cared, and only recognize what they had after it's gone.
