Stir-Fried Pork Liver Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb pork liver, thinly sliced
1/2 cup beer
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon shredded ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
3 dried red chili pepper, sliced
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1/2 onion, sliced
2 green and red bell pepper, sliced
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
Clean the liver: Rinse the liver under cold water and slice it thinly.
Soak in beer: Place the liver in a bowl and add beer to remove any fishy smell. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
Marinate: Drain the liver and add shredded ginger, black pepper, and soy sauce. Marinate for 10 minutes.
Stir-fry: Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Add minced garlic and chili pepper, stir-fry until fragrant.
Add liver: Add the marinated liver and stir-fry quickly until it changes color.
Add vegetables: Add onion and bell pepper, continue stir-frying until they are slightly softened.
Season: Add additional soy sauce if needed.
Finish: Sprinkle with green onions if desired and serve hot with rice.
Tips:
Soaking the liver in milk or buttermilk can also help tenderize it and remove any unpleasant flavors.
Don't overcook the liver, as it becomes tough and dry. Cook just until it is no longer pink inside.
You can add other vegetables to the stir-fry, such as carrots, broccoli, or mushrooms.
