Sa panahon karon nga daghan kaayong pressure ug noise gikan sa lain-laing grupo, dili lalim mahimong lider. But sometimes, leadership is not about pleasing everyoneโitโs about making the right decision, even if itโs unpopular to some.
Letโs be clear: dili ni personalan. This is about principles, structure, and long-term impact sa mga konsumidor.
Ang SOCOTECO II dili ordinaryong negosyo. It is a member-owned cooperative.
Decision-making shifts. Power becomes centralized. And eventually, the ordinary consumerโthe very people the system is supposed to serveโgets sidelined.
Dili ni simpleng technical issue. This is about protecting a system built for the people.
A true partnership requires balance. It requires shared decision-making. Kung walay klarong role ang cooperative sa governance, then itโs not a partnershipโitโs a takeover in disguise.
And thatโs exactly what the Board refused to allow.
Daghan kaayo og saadโmodernization, better service, efficiency.
The Board was right to demand specifics. Dili pwede ang โpromise now, details later.โ Ang mga konsumidor dili dapat mahimong eksperimento.
Dili pud ignorante ang mga tawo. Daghan na ang naka-observe sa sitwasyon sa Metro Manilaโareas served by Meralcoโwhere complaints about high electricity rates continue despite scale and reach.
This is not fearmongering. This is practical thinking.
Kudos to our Board of Directors!!!
