MARIO โEl Aztecaโ Barrios of Texas, USA won the last three rounds to settle a majority draw with former world champion Manny โPacManโ Pacquiao of General Santos City last July 20 in MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.
Judges Steve Weisfeld and Tim Cheatham both scored it 114-all while Max DeLuca saw it 115-113 in favor of Barrios for a majority draw.
The 30-year-old Barrios previously also settled a split draw with Abel Ramos to retain his WBC World welterweight title last November 15, 2024 at AT & T Stadium in Arlington.
Ramos, however, was downed in round two while Barrios was downed in round six.
Barrios retained his WBC World welterweight title and now has two draws with 29 wins, 18 knockouts and two loses.
Pacquiao, 46, on the other hand, settled his 3rd draw with 62 wins, 39 knockouts and eight defeats.
Pacquiao, who was then IBF World super bantamweight champion, had his first draw with WBO World super bantamweight king Agapito Sanchez of Dominican Republic by a technical draw last November 2001 in San Francisco.
Sanchez lost two points for low blows. Ringside doctor stops bout in 6th round due to bad cut on Pacquiao's right eye caused by an accidental head-butt in Round 2 and worsened by another head-butt in Round 6.
Pacquiao then had a split draw for challenging Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico for the IBF World featherweight title last May 2004 in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, Mark โMagnificoโ Magsayo of Tagbilaran City and Eumir Felix Marcial of Zamboanga City scored contrasting wins in the undercard.
The 30-year-old Magsayo beat Mexican Jorge Mata by a unanimous decision for the vacant WBC Continental Americas super featherweight title.
Magsayo, who is based in Las Vegas, now has 28 wins with 18 knockouts and two losses.
Marcial, 29, stopped American Bernard Joseph in the 3rd round to earn his sixth straight win with no loss or draw.
