🥳Celebrate Hangeul Day with us! Learn about the remarkable history of the Korean alphabet, Hangeul, and its creator, King Sejong.

“Hangul” in Korean is 한글 (hangeul). Hangul is also written in English as “Hangeul.” There are two different ways of spelling the same word. “Hangul” is the most common way, and “Hangeul” is the newer way of writing it. The word Hangul comes from the Chinese character 韓㐎. “Han” means “Korean,” and “gul” means “letter.” Put them together, and you’ve got the term “Korean letter” or “Korean Alphabet.”

🇰🇷 How do you celebrate Hangeul Day 한글날? Why not celebrate Hangeul Day by going to the King Sejong Museum? Hangeul's founding father is King Sejong. The King Sejong Museum is situated just beneath the colossal golden statue of the monarch in Seoul's Gwanghwamun Square, in front of Gyeongbok Palace.

Also, learning Hangeul is another method to commemorate Hangeul Day in Korea. You can read Korean signs, enhance your pronunciation, and increase your vocabulary by learning the Korean alphabet, which only takes two hours to master.
