Antonino G. Busano Sr. High School successfully conducted a Training Workshop on Radio Broadcasting in English and Filipino, providing student journalists and broadcasters with valuable knowledge, practical skills, and industry-based insights essential in the field of campus journalism and broadcasting.
The workshop was highlighted by the expertise of Mr. Marlon C. Rañises, MAEd, LPT, popularly known as DJ Carlos Miguel of 99.1 DXRT Wild FM Gensan, who served as the Resource Speaker. Through his engaging discussions and real-world experiences in radio broadcasting, participants gained a deeper understanding of effective communication, news delivery, scriptwriting, voice modulation, and broadcast professionalism.
Technical sessions were further strengthened by Mr. Evan Vargas of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, who served as Technical Coach and shared practical techniques that enhanced the participants’ broadcasting skills and confidence.
The activity was made possible through the dedication and commitment of the school’s journalism and broadcasting mentors: Ms. Klyyd A. Cuna, SPA Filipino and Coach for Filipino Radio Broadcasting; Mrs. Kristine Jane H. Devera, SPA in English, Mr. Marc Joshua D. Gorospe, Technical Coach for Filipino Radio Broadcasting; Mr. Denel M. Centino, Coach for English Radio Broadcasting; Ms. Rovamae L. Peloton, Coach for Copyediting and Headline Writing; and Mr. Val P. Guilaran, Coach for Column Writing. We also commend our dedicated alumni-trainers, Mr. Joel I Reponte and Mr. Irlant Robert Guelos for their time and effort.
This training workshop reflects the school’s continuing commitment to developing competent, responsible, and articulate student communicators who are prepared to excel in journalism, broadcasting, and other communication-related endeavors.
