The Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) swimmers made a splash at the MSU Swimming Meet 2025, held at LC5 Resort, Mabuhay, General Santos City, on October 14.
Representing ABE were Stephen Kyle Genita, Justine Rhose Tagalogon, and Cassiopeia Blanca, who went all out in both individual and relay events, taking on top-tier swimmers from across the colleges and leaving a trail of strong finishes in their wake.

Fourth-year ABE student Stephen Kyle Genita showcased versatility by joining several short-course events in the menโs division. He recorded 16.44 seconds in the Boys 25 SC Meter Butterfly, finishing 6th overall in a competitive field led by the COE with a winning time of 13.96 seconds.
Genita continued to place well across his lineup, including 6th in the 50 SC Meter Butterfly (38.12), 5th in the 50 SC Meter Backstroke (43.59), 8th in the 50 SC Meter Breaststroke (45.09), and 5th in the 100 SC Meter Individual Medley (1:27.85). His consistent mid-level finishes earned valuable points for COA in the menโs overall standings.

In the womenโs division, 4th-year ABE Justine Rhose Tagalogon emerged as one of COAโs top competitors. She placed 3rd in the Girls 25 SC Meter Freestyle, clocking 19.41 seconds, securing one of COAโs key early podium finishes.
Tagalogon played a pivotal role in COAโs relay teams, swimming as the anchor in both championship-winning squads. The COA Womenโs Freestyle Relay Teamโcomposed of Tuya, Alexa Rose, Ceballos, Fearlyn, Abiera, MAC Stacy, and Tagalogon, Justineโclinched 1st place with a time of 1:15.04. The same lineup also dominated the Girls 25 SC Meter Medley Relay, posting 1:27.14 to secure another gold for COA.
These victories positioned COA ahead of CNSM and CSSH, who finished second and third respectively in the relay events.

Also representing ABE, 4th-year student Cassiopeia Blanca competed in the Girls 25 SC Meter Breaststroke, finishing 12th with 33.88 seconds, and in the Girls 25 SC Meter Freestyle, where she placed 39th with 30.31 seconds. While outside the top ten, Blancaโs entries strengthened COAโs presence in the womenโs field and contributed additional points to the collegeโs overall tally.

At the end of the one-day meet, the COA Womenโs Swimming Team captured the Overall Championship, fueled by two gold-medal relays and multiple individual podium finishes. The COA Menโs Team, while missing the podium, recorded competitive times throughout the heats and finals.
The results marked another strong intramural campaign for the College of Agriculture, with the ABE swimmers exemplifying discipline, consistency, and teamwork across every event.
