*GENERAL SANTOS CITY — In a major boost to local school infrastructure and student safety, the South Cotabato Filipino Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (SCFCCI) has donated a comprehensive package of roofing materials aimed at repairing 10 damaged classroom roofs at Dadiangas West Central Elementary School (DWCES).
The generous turnover included essential construction supplies specifically requested to replace aging and leaking roof structures ahead of the upcoming academic activities:
*523 pieces of Corrugated Metal Sheets
*54 pieces of Plain Sheets
*10 pouches of Elastroseal Sealant
*9,025 pieces of 2-inch Tek Screws
The turnover and signing of turnover documents were officially received by school officials, led by DWCES School Principal Erlyn Garay. Delivery trucks and volunteer teams arrived at the campus grounds to unload the heavy metal sheets and hardware materials directly into the school's facilities.
School Principal Erlyn Garay expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the officers, board members, and stakeholders of the South Cotabato Filipino Chamber of Commerce Inc. for their timely intervention and community spirit.
“We are profoundly grateful to the South Cotabato Filipino Chamber of Commerce Inc. for answering our call. These roofing materials will directly impact hundreds of our young learners by giving them safe, comfortable, and leak-free classrooms where they can focus on their education without disruption," Maam Garay stated.
A Call for Continuous Community Support
While celebrating this major milestone, School Principal Garay emphasized that school rehabilitation remains an ongoing effort, especially under community-driven initiatives like Brigada Eskwela. She extended a warm call to other corporate partners, civic groups, and private donors to continue supporting the school's physical and instructional needs.
While this turnover covers ten crucial classrooms, our journey toward providing the best learning environment for all our students continues. We warmly welcome and appeal to more benevolent donors and community partners to join hands with Dadiangas West Central Elementary School," she added.
The donation highlights the enduring power of public-private partnerships in building resilient educational environments for future generations across South Cotabato and General Santos City.
