Engine No.1 startup of the Airbus A320neo powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines, also known as the geared turbofan (GTF). That “barking” sound you hear? It’s the Power Transfer Unit (PTU), a normal part of the aircraft’s hydraulic system during engine start.
